The last time I played was ~1 year ago. Now I come back and my island is gone, and what?? my rank is skygod (i was previously donor100)?

Can someone fill me in on what happened, new features, etc?

 

The server was reset. There were many changes made to the server, which can all be found here. Some of the most significant updates include the addition of new trade shops, a /friends command, island expansions, re-named ranks, and the server has also updated to 1.12. The old server can still be accessed by typing the /classic.

 

Okay, thanks! I have a question, though: is the trade system still up on the new server? Are there any large changes in item values?
Also, can you take items cross-server?

 

Unfortunately, you cannot transfer any items between servers. The only thing that you keep when starting over on the new server, is your rank. As far as the item values are concerned, things are very different from /classic. I believe that diamonds are worth 7-8 grass, and there are also new rares in the economy. Unfortunately, I am not really sure what all of the prices are for these new items. You might be better off asking someone that has more knowledge of server prices.

Yes because you already received it in the old server

 

Is it still possible to lock chests?

 

Yes, place a sign on the chest and type [Private] to lock it.

 

New features include:
/leaderboards- show the players that have the most island levels
/topvotes- shows 10 players with the highest amount of votes that month
Donors can no longer use /enchant all, yet they stil have /enchant
Each Donor has a different title now (skyking, skygod, skytitan, and others)
Server updated to 1.12.2, and I believe will be updated to 1.13 soon
You can buy island expansions (there is a limit of 199x199)
/guest add <player>- allows someone to visit your island even if it's locked
/guest boot- kicks a player off your island
/guest ban- bans a player from your island
+ cannot buy Donor400 anymore
