An idea...

Maybe we can make a "Trick or Treat" area, with lots of say, stalls or homes, where people can give out stuff to players that make their way along and wear a dress up skin for Halloween and say "Trick or Treat"



Admin Luke could make a special area somewhere, flat.
Add a long "road", & put with marked areas/stalls on both sides ... or even small houses that are cloned with edit tools.
Trick or Treat Players required to dress up with Halloween skin.
Those crashers that are seen without skins, get a 15 minute temp ban on sight.
A temp warp would be set up and made known at a certain time.
Noobcrew could every so often /tpall (?) during trick or treat.
And server announcements can advertise the special time/date & activity.

Two kinds of players... trick or treaters (the beggars) and the givers (the wealthy, using legal stuff).

Could have a prize for best 3 costumes...
Best giver...
Worst beggar...
yada yada...

Halloween event.. interesting idea. This could be expanded on quite well

 

I guess we can build that on my island Luke, till i have an idea for the castle.

 

Lol that would be pretty nice (but its not in the safest area and would have to be made 100% fool proof such as making it enclosed in bedrock).

A temp ban seems a bit extreme, a kick at the most or a teleport away.

Well, i meant i would just build it in my area, then maybe instead of the bedrock have Luke C/P it around spawn. As i rather not have 100 people at my/Luke island.

 

Rather a temp ban seems fair, as it is a [maybe] a server event, so to enforce the rules and not have anyone mess it all up.

Crusader made a maze, I'm MAKING a massive maze-type game where you find chests to an extent, pay sand to open them. (You get 5 and can find more in chests.)

Also, it will have multiple levels(8), My biggest problem is the abandoned island next to mine, and to get someone to worldedit a bedrock box.

 

I like this idea alot. If you guys need any helpers, Kitten and I would love to help. She loves anything halloween so she'd really enjoy it. Hmm...time to find a really good Darksiders Skin!

 

Tech note... If we can keep people in the event area, and mobs and chickens and /spawns out of the server during the event, the server will in fact support over 1,000 players without lag or crash. Make people spawn on island, remove transport commands (/fly esp.) temporarily, and reduce plugins. The only limit will be CPU and internal data paths, which should be fast with those SSD's.

The trick followed by the treat...
Interestingly, if all /fly is disabled, and anyone flies, well its a hacker filter... 'peasants with torches, kill the hackers!'.

Oh come on, you remember in July when over 200 would be in that tiny cyan castle (called /warp noobspawn, now)!! Total chaos, and actually kind of fun in its own way on some nights!\

If serrver chunks are not loaded and AI is not pathfinding, CPU will be low and RAM not an issue, and it would be cool to break the 1,000 player barrier and call .net a bona-fide record setting server... we can do it, yes... we... can!!

 

Hmm, alright. Tomorrow, I'll start messing with this. Any mods who want to help can help, I'll even let some donors I can trust to help.

 

i was making some retarded houses, but i think we should use one of the platforms the one under the forest we made. But ithink we should do mods only to build and maybe some $100+ donors.

 

And i been to servers with over 3k in them >.>
