Please note that any information can become false or old, mods are aloud to fix this at any time!

Ok, we all know the most important rule of all the servers, which is "No griefing!" Griefing is the act of placing or removing blocks and items illegal for joy, greed, or revenge. It is a high offense on Skyblock, and getting unbanned is HARD, because you can't just "accidently" grief.

Why griefing is NEVER an accident:
Griefing is never an accident. Griefing splits into 4 categories (Bridging (Creating cheap bridges between islands), tp'ed/tpa'ed (Getting tp/tpa to place, then griefing), Hacking (Griefing places with World Lock), and Logged off (Logging off, and waiting to log on when the person/people are gone), which are all bannable.

    Why "Bridging" isn't an accient
I tried bridging in a separate, single-player world. I had no /fly, no /jump, and the island was only about 40 blocks away (compared to the 98 in the server.) It took about 5 minutes to get enough materials (cobblestone) and about 8 minutes to create the bridge, and it is one hard process.

    Why "tp'ed/tpa'ed" isn't an accident
Donors (+25) are able to use /tpa and /tpahere. and people can do trades this way. No one is unable to escape. Why? Because of /warp, /home, and /ma. If they were "escaping a locked room", they would not need to break out, they can just use a command.

    Why "Hacking" isn't an accident:
Wonder why Skyblock isn't reduced to nothing? It is because of "World Lock", an EXTREMELY reliable plugin to prevent griefing at public areas. Hacking requires it to fail, which is SUPER rare. Fire at /warp spawn is common at the moment, and will hopefully be fixed soon!

Why "Logged Off" isn't an accident:

This is a common type. It involves the person entering an island, logging off without notice, and logging back on when the owner is not on, and the destroying stuff, the either returning to their island of then bridging. It takes days for logs to disappear, so this is not a way to prevent logs from showing the griefer. Also, there is no need to break out from a locked area when you can use the commands.

    How People do It:
On most servers, people just take valuable and blow the rest up or set it on fire. That can't be done on Skyblock, fire does not spread and explosions do not do damage. It is usually done by the griefer either just taking stuff from chests, or using a cheap god Diamond pickaxe that lots of donors sell to destroy blocks, and also mess up redstone circuits.

    How to spot it:
It is not easy to spot for a non-donor, and few donors do it. It is a tactic I use called "Grief Checks", which involve check like 2-3 islands each direction from your island for signs of griefing. If you find signs of griefing, have a mod look, and if they say it is active/is griefed, then see if they can ban that person. (Most likely possible)
Also, you can try to if you can spot partial islands, but make sure you have Java 64 Bit, and a Graphics Card, so you do not crash/lag when you go to far render (12-16 Chunk Render.) You need at least like 13 Chunk Render to see a neighbor island that is small, maybe 5 if the person went way into your boarders.

How to prevent it from going bad:
Many plugins were developed to help prevent this, the most well known are lockettes (All servers) and WorldEdit (All servers have it in public areas, only avaible at Skyblock.org for islands.)
Lockettes can be applied to Chests, Jukeboxes, Doors, Gates, blocks that have Redstone "buttons", Trapdoors, Furnaces, and a lot more (Almost any block that you interact with). They prevent anyone not on the lockettes from getting in (Mods can get in no matter what.) For the first lockette, place a sign and wait, and to add more, use /lockette X Username, with X being a line number (3 or 4), and place more signs and use the command for more people, but use X as 2,3, or 4 for the usernames. 14 Characters fit, 15 and 16 do not, but lockettes will still work. [Does not work with Spawners, the best method is hiding them]

WorldLock is easy to explain, all it does is prevent users from placing/destroying blocks. It is avaible on the Skyblock.org server since it is a lower person server, with people able to make warps.

What to do if you get Griefed:
There are a few things you need to do, which can include:
    1. Having a mod (Find any online using /realname Mod) use their magical BedRock to look for "logs" of blocks being placed or destroyed, then find the person. Once a person is found, they will get banned and can apply here. You will need a Super Mod (also known as Global Mods on the forums) to do a rollback to the day before griefing/the time before the damage was done.
    2. Set up a report on these forums. There are a few questions you can answer, and mods can do a rollback.
    3. Wait for an available mod to do a rollback by posting on a Super Mod's wall here.

Things that can go wrong in Rollbacks:
Rollbacks can always bug, which is why you should NEVER hesitate to ask for help to get it investigated. Many things can go wrong including:
    -Non-Solid blocks not reappearing
    -Missing/Extra/Rearranged items
    -Randomly placed blocks
-Spawners changing type (to pig usually)
    -Redstone Clocks malfunctioning
    -Pistons acting weird
    -Obsidian/Lava changing forms.
    -Blocks Moving
Always remember entities are never brought back since they use too much data. Take Snapshots of valuable animals (like horses) A LOT!

You can suggest anything else added, just post below, this took over an hour to type.

Griefing can be an accident on very rare occasions, if you broke say, a spawner with a god pick as they don't get picked up and they get mined very quickly. Might want to add in that if you have broken something by accident, save the co-ordinates and ask a mod to tp you there later? :)
