Grass: What is it used for and how is it obtained?

This guide is written in mind of new members of the .NET community, for the players who don’t yet know that grass is a key item for not only their island, but also for purchasing in-game items.

    How can I get grass?

There are many different ways to get grass, the easiest and most common are listed below.

    • Voting – There are two voting links where every 24 hours you can register a vote to get yourself some useful (and not so useful!) in-game items.

    Voting link 1

    Voting link 2

When you complete both your daily votes, you will receive 2 grass blocks and 2 voter crate keys. Sometimes you will get lucky and receive something more than the standard voting reward. The extra grass rewards are:

1/10 chance – You’ll receive an extra grass block.

    1/25 chance – You’ll receive 5 extra grass blocks.

The full list of rewards can be viewed by doing /rewards whilst in-game.

    • Vote parties – After every 300 votes the server acquires, a vote party will be held.

When a vote party is about to start there is a 20 second warning in chat. After the 20 seconds is up, you will receive a random amount of voter crate keys and grass.

You can see how many votes are left until the vote party by doing /vp whilst in-game.

    • Voter crate rewards – After you have voted, or participated in a vote party (Occurring after every 300 votes the server gets), you will obtain a voter crate key.

You can use the voter crate keys at /warp crates. Much like voting, there are rewards that can be gained from this chest to use on your island. One of these rewards is also grass, although there is a smaller chance of obtaining it via this method.

    • Donating or Donor kits – When you donate for a rank, along with other command perks, you will get a kit. Not all kits contain grass, but here are those that do.

Donor 25: Kit contains 10 grass, which is claimable every 3 days.

Donor 50: Kit contains 10 grass, which is claimable every 2 days.

Donor 100: Kit contains 15 grass, which is claimable every day. This kit also contains 1 diamond, which can be sold for 21 to 22 grass individually.

Donor 250: Kit also contains 15 grass, which is claimable every day. This kit contains 3 diamonds, which can all be sold for a total of 64 grass.

Donor 400: Rank has access to all previous rank’s kits.

You can purchase 10 blocks of grass for 5 US dollars via the online store. However, this is only a one time purchase.

View the online skyblock store here, or follow the link on the navigation bar of the forums.

    • Tradeshops and inter-player trades – When in-game you can trade various items for grass. This then enables you to purchase further items for your needs. There are different ways to trade, by drop trading, or by creating a tradeshop. For further details on setting up a tradeshop, go to /warp tradeshop when you’re next online.

In this example, I am trading 8 saplings for 1 grass. This is an easy way to make grass, as it is cheaper than anywhere else it is listed in the official server shops.

Here is the format needed to set up your own tradeshop.

What can grass be used for?

As I’ve already mentioned, grass is the most basic currency item in the .NET economy. It is used for all the villager trades at /warp trade, /warp grass and even at /warp donor. It can be used to buy items of more value, or just items you need for your island.

It doesn’t just stop here, you don’t have to use the grass you save for trading, you can also use it to add to your island.

That’s it for this guide about grass. c:
