Hello, everyone! I hope life is treating you well! It’s been awhile since I’ve logged into forums as I’ve been more active over on Discord. But, I’ve been confused on some things, posted in the help section on disc without responses so I’m hoping to get some answers here… For over a year now, I’ve tried numerous ways to make Goat Horn farms but had issues when the mob stacking occurred. I’m aware the goats need to be separated but, I am not sure the proper way of setting up a farm on this server as it seems like normal farms don’t work sometimes. And the same goes for turtle farms. Now, I also have one more question and that regards bees. I’m trying to get a bee farm for candles/honey etc. I’m not sure if there is a specific way to set up this farm as well but also HOW do I get bees on my island? I currently don’t have any farms set up for any of these as I’m not sure what to do. Any help will do, thank you all so much for taking the time to read!
and yes, I’m very stupid with farms but need them for my shop, haha! Sorry for the 9 billion questions!
Goat horn farms are possible, if you visit .craftwithabbie on economy and fly to the void platform layer below the castle, you'll find my goat horn farm there. It's a passive/afk farm, goats target chickens in boats, they charge. But hit their heads on a block placed just above the chickens. They'll drop the horns and seperate into three stacks. One with both horns. One stack with one horn, and a final stack with no horns. Those you kill off. I'll get some screenshots later. Its def possible and we do get screaming versions. But those are rarer due to the stacking issue. It is possible to farm the four common horns with ease though, I have about 10dcs of horns nows
To get bees on your island, place an oak or birch sapling next to a flower and bonemeal it/wait for it to grow. It will have a 5% chance to spawn a bee nest with 1-3 bees inside. The flower must be on the same y-level as the sapling and no more than 2 blocks away. Since the spawn rate for bee nests is low, you may need to generate quite a few trees. However, once you have some, you can make beehives out of 3 honeycomb and 6 planks, then breed your bees with flowers to make a proper farm. Yup the spawn rate is what I am roughly getting I preferer birch trees with 1 free space between them as they seem to give more spawn points and have no leaves where the nests normally spawn. You can place flowers, flowering azalea leaves or flowering azalea (saplings) to make the bee nests spawn Make sure to use silk pick when u mine a nest and do it at night when all the bees are in the nest. Feel free to /visit tamba3 when I am ingame and I can show u how I got my farms set up
