Hi, I'm kind of new here and I was wondering if there is a way to get ores, like iron and coal, without having to buy them. If there is such a way, please tell me! I am new and do not know to much about Skyblock.

You can't chose illegal to obtain, and any heads [staff,players]

 

Yes you can, wither and steve heads are illegal but you can still get them...

To obtain Diamonds/iron etc., You trade for them using grass (main currency) or other items.

You can acquire grass from voting and vote parties. Or, you can donate and get grass/iron/diamond in donor kits.

The actual ores however, those are illegal to own/trade

 

But still people have ores so they are obtainable through donor400 creative item.

Rule 8: Do not trade or give illegal-to-trade items
Offence Level: Medium
The server has lots of illegal items that can't be traded. The list is pretty big, so it can be over whelming. It is best to message a mod or donor if you are unsure if an item is illegal. This is the list and why. (This list is for .net, it is different per server)

1. Dirt (Starter item, you can vote for grass blocks (turns to dirt))
2. Sand based items [Sand, Sandstone, Smooth Sandstone, Chiseled Sandstone, Stairs Sandstone, TNT] (Starter item, donate to get a kit to get more on Survival, buy from /warp shop on Economy) [All glass products legal to trade on Survival][Stained Glass, Stained Glass Panes, and Glass Bottles are allowed on Economy]
3. Silverfish Spawn Eggs (Can be used to grief without creating logs) [Survival Only]
4. Steve and Wither Skull Heads (Never released & Withers) [Survival Only]
5. Buckets [All Types] (Starter item, get more by getting iron)
6. Sponge (Creative only) [Survival Only]
7. Bedrock (Creative only) [Survival Only]
8. Podzol (Not sold by traders, on starter islands sometimes due to glitches)

Rule 9: Do not own illegal-to-own items
Offence Level: High
This server has a lot of items you can not trade, but there is not a lot for the owning. Here is the list:

1. Ores [Coal ore, Iron ore, Gold ore, Emerald ore, Diamond ore, Redstone ore, Lapis Lazuli ore, Nether Quartz ore] (No way to obtain them)
2. Overmax Enchant Items [Any enchant over the maximum vanilla enchant is an illegal item, example, GoD books, a bow with Punch over 2, a sword with Looting over 3)
3. Duped/Glitch Items [Any items from a duplication method/glitch in a plugin (echo pets) are illegal and will be confiscated]
4. Staff Heads [Excluding Cyp, Crew and, JeffCiv][Survival Only]

Aside from Zambiana and Akrill no one has ores. And they got them from creative when smods had gamemode.

 

You posted three times in a row. And you can't own ores either.

 

To clear things up,

There is no place you can mine to get ores. Also if you have an ore they are illegal to have. You are allowed to have gold ingots, coal, iron ingots, lapis, emeralds, Redstone and diamonds.
You can trade with other players to get these items or buy them at the shop, /warp grass.
Iron, Redstone and diamonds are usually obtained by Donor kits by them donating to the server.
I do not think that gold ingots can not be found as the mob arena usually gave them out as a prize but are not now obtainable to its closure.
Lapis and coal can be obtained by normal players at /warp grass, but emeralds can only be obtained by Donors and can be traded.

Anyways, you can buy coal at warp grass for 1 grass block for 1 coal block I think

Iron is significantly more expensive and you can only get it through a lucky vote (3 iron ingots), trading other players for it, or donating and get it in your kit

 

Oh. It wasn't clear because he didn't specify that he just wanted coal and iron to use. He stated coal and iron ores as examples.

Anyway, if coal and iron is all you need, I could donate some to you. /msg Pizzaa in-game if you happen to see me on

 

They don't have ores anymore.
