So normally I would get 60-70 fps and I don't lag. But yesterday when my laptop battery went out and re-charged it and turned on Minecraft the fps became 2-5 fps as I can't even play or chat sometimes which is very annoying and whenever I place a block my mc freezes which annoys me more. It happened to me while playing also some sw and bw with some friend. So I play on my laptop but it's not a "crappy one" so don't go ahead and say cause your laptop is crap like all of the sudden it happened. Also, I won't download Optifine as it crashes my mc. If anyone knows why that is happening please tell me. Thanks ~ PS: And whenever I get on the server my screen freezes... -.-
No, only google chrome for forums like always. Also I'm able to log in as I did something with the setting but I will eventually fps lag
nope thats the weird thing but from what I can guess there is something that is updating which Idk what is it
You should know if you have an antivirus program. So first try restarting your PC. Generally that will help especially if you haven't turned off your laptop in a while. Make sure you have Java up to date and it is the correct version for your operating system. Close all programs you have open other than minecraft I could go step by step but you should google these things which will make your life easier.
I do have 1 after googling. Anyways I already restarted my laptop twice and I can restart it now. And theres nothing with java ^-^. Also the extra program opened is google chrome which never made me lag
Minecraft is a cpu based game since it runs on java code, so I'd be looking at your processor for any issues, but based on what little information you've given us about your laptop that's all I can say for now.
