Hi im trying to get fox so i can get emerald so i can get dripstone. I looked at Fox – Minecraft Wiki and it says they can spawn on top snow and snow block. I made platform in taiga, used snowblock, stone, cobblestone and dirt and coverd some of them with snow. Was there for few days and no fox. Do i need to get grass block there? Or am i stoopid and missing something? I tried to google that and found a lot of information that say what i did is enough. PLS help.
Hi Mr.Berhemoth foxes are unobtainable and so are dripstone as our server is currently running on 1.12.2. I apologize for the confusion regarding this!
Have you made sure that the platform is at least 24 blocks away from you and your spawn point? And at most 128 blocks away from you? Using cobblestone and snow covering may help filtering out other passive mobs, as wolves and rabbits can spawn on snowblocks too. And of course check if the entire platform really is in a taiga biome
It is 300+ block from spawn i have observing place 26+ block away platform in Y 68 made of cobblestone, stone, dirt (no grass) and snow blocks and all of that partly covert with 1 layer of snow in taiga. i know it can spawn things but only skeletons, spider and zombie.
And one more thing i made small lake 26 block from spawn it is something like 18x24 depth 8 and bottom is Y 53 it is in windswept hill/forest no river biom should there spawn fish/squid?
