Skyblock Forums Advertisment

It would be nice if the forums got a little more attention in-game. At the moment it’s not very convincing to newer players because it just says “Join our website at blah blah”. Maybe we could reward players for joining the forums, such as a grass block for signing up. How would this work then?

Basically when a player joins the forums they can have an option to include their IGN - so when they click sign up they get a grass sent to their account. This would also mean that players would then have their forums and in-game account linked (which emerald has already suggested - see his thread in website suggestions) and they could maybe receive a forums trophy giving like 5-10 points? It would be cool and would make more users want to sign up.

The only problem is people can use their alts and make forum accounts with their alts meaning they can get grass, but it’ll be easy to track these people down, as they will most likely not be posting with their forums alts, so you find their in-game name and then moderators can /alts them to find out the main account and give them a punishment for abusing the system.

 

I think this could actually work. It would be nice if the forums was a bit livelier with more people.

Support. Comparing the amount of players in game to the players on the forums I would say the forums really need more players to be on it, to create accounts and get to know about it.

Yeah the reward in-game needs to be agreed, while still making players want to join it needs to make it so there’s no point in going through all the effort of account making etc.

We could do this like we did to Skyblock's Twitter, it already has 300+ followers right now for giving out grass.

 

support this would be a good idea the only think I don't agree with is the trophy because trophies are meant to be in forums non of the current trophies have to do with anything with the server adding this wouldn't allow people like be who are banned get a fair amount of trophies as everyone else I like the idea to link it but just no trophies for it

To be fair, it is kind of their fault for getting banned in the first place.

 

Maybe figure out a “same IP” system to detect whether the account is on the same IP or not.

And another problem is, what about the people who have already signed up for the forums? Should we get a grass block automatically sent to our account as soon as this gets implemented?

tbh forums now are just like 40 people, with some occasional other people.
it would be nice to have something that will attrach people to use forums more

Support, it would definitely be nice to have a but more forums traffic. It'd be nice to reward players that don't necessarily have much of an identity on the server as they're only names in-game, it might encourage permanent residence on the server too, which would be great.
