I think crew or cyp should add the underlined, italic and officiated text. It is supported by vanilla and you need the & symbol which is given by essentials as you can't paste the § symbol in mine craft.

this will spam the chat up even more and will encourage spam and caps. as for books. default players can already use color in books as well as formats.
