I know many people take it as being normal, but deaths at spawn with people taking fall damage are things I see very often.

This arose to my attention because just yesterday 8 Dirt and 1 Lava Bucket were dropped from someone that died at spawn. I picked these items up and still hold on to them. My point here is that I think this issue should be fixed to prevent the same problems.

My idea of a fix is either disabling death in the spawn area, or sitting a block of water on the location that players spawn.

Please let me know and give support to this suggestion if you like it and if you agree with it.

I think too much effort is put in circumventing death on this Server. Death is a part of the game. As a noob I was dissapointed enough that there are no hostile mob spawning naturally on my Island. So unless this is to fix a bug where People die at spawn for no reason, and not a Situation where People die from hitting /warp spawn while falling into the void, from me expect

That's actually a huge thing
People will do /spawn when they are falling or something and die. People will illegal item farm at spawn. I support this much

 

I know people who have built entire islands off of /spawn drops I wasn't sure if this was illegal item farming or not ... Maybe just disable item drops within the /spawn tower thing, in order to stop illegal item farming?

 

Illegal trading, despite the name, includes giving, trading, and selling.

 

Support. If you're not allowed to trade, give or borrow these items, then this way of obtaining them thus using them should, in theory, also be illegal in-game.

I know death is an experience that many new players will have, but many might not even know about /spawn if they are new to skyblock, or just minecraft in general.

As many players grow into the server, they either donate for bigger packages/ ranks which contain /fly mode or /god mode commands. These allow players to fly back up if they've fallen off, or prevents the player from being able to be killed when they hit the void, or are attacked by a hostile mob.

Alternatively, you can always place water on your island spawn. This also prevents death when any of the home commands (/home, /is, /is h) are used. If you can avoid death on your island by doing this, I see no harm in having the same sort of set up at spawn.

 

None of which is actually happening here. Call it looting, scavenging or maybe even farming if you want, but it's not trading, not selling and certainly not giving.

Don't get me wrong but I'm having the impression many of you got a serious problem with loosing at a game. But since it's a game, it can happen. And since it's a multiplayer, other may profit from it. Especially if you hit /spawn when falling into the void.

I fell dozens of times into the void, most certainly loosing double chests of stuff, mainly cobble but also picaxes and armor before finding out I could hit /is or /home and die on my island instead. Much later I found out the trick with the water, which I still don't use tho. That's called "learning". That's how the things are set! If I hit /spawn at this moment of course I must count on someone looting my dead corpse. "LEARNING"! Trying harder / better next time, stop whining, that' not the game's end.

Yes, but it's the problem with illegal items being passed around and the way spawn has looked recently, someone could purposely kill themselves there and get illegal trading done.

Also in org, you can die at any warp if /god is off. People can let other people tp to them in a high place at /warp shop then the people who sent the tp request run and fall and die.
