Hey all, I just wanted to create a suggestion thread that is also sort of a bug report. The reason I am unsure of where to post this thread is that I don't know it is meant to be intentional or not. While on economy, many players use /sell all to sell various items including mob farms. However, when you perform that command, your armor also gets sold to the shop (in the designated armor spots, not inventory spaces) and unfortunately, there is no way to get it back. I am not sure if this holds true for all armor types or just diamond armor. If it meant to be intentional, I would like to suggest that it is changed. Unfortunately, I spent a bit of money to purchase the armor and only received a fraction of the cost when it was sold. If it isn't meant to be intentional, would it be something that could be fixed/tweaked? Hopefully, we can get some support on this thread! I have enclosed a screenshot below to show exactly what happened. I hope you all have a wonderful and healthy week! - Bdark
That's a good point. I didn't know that originally and didn't really want to dish out another decent amount of money. I will keep that in mind!
Support, I’d have thought anything in the armour spot would be exempt from sale anyway - regardless of whether it is enchanted or not. I’ll be interested to try this out with leather etc to see if I get the same result.
( "what does someone want to trade me for this pig" that pig needs freedom not an eternal life of slavery. ) On my point of view on this matter, you should not wear armor because to be honest, I don't think armor really has a use on skyblock economy. Its main value is monetary. However I agree that things you are using at the moment such as armor or head items should not be sold when doing /sell all. Perhaps it can open your inventory and any item you shift-click will get sold.
Well not going to lie, but the only thing armor protects you from is fall damage and blazes in the nether. There are basically no ghasts and drinking fire resistance will protect you fully from lava. But yeah, I thought there wasn't a nether in economy, so its my bad. I'm not too big on eco so I don't know this stuff. (Main reason I thought so was skyblock survival and eco would have more differences other than money) But people who flex enchant their armor.
Hey Tim! So like Pil said, the nether is still a thing. I personally do like to wear my armor while looting in the nether as I am confident I will make it back. However, there has been a recent influx of players allowing PVP at their island, and having a nice set of armor could come in handy . I respect your viewpoints on this matter and hope they are taken into consideration!
To confirm, I tried this with leather armour and iron armour tonight and whilst placed in the armour slots the unenchanted leather armour didn't sell, but the iron armour did. This might just be because you can't /sell all leather armour anyway, as it didn't leave my inventory even when I ran the command with it unequipped. Either way, I stand by what I said above. This does seem odd.
My main concern is I were to wear my Elytra and did /sell all. Elytra blends in with the armor slots and half of the time I cannot tell if I have it on or not. If I were to /sell all, I'm not sure if that would be sold too or not.
You are probably correct but I don't think I'm going to take the risk and find out the hard way haha.
