INTRO: I understand that forum moderators is only an idea at the step of realization, however I posted this application just in case if Zambiana, the forum administrator, makes a decision about this suggestion. I didn't want to apply for server moderator because I'm slowly losing interest in playing Minecraft and forums are most of all I like on this server and from the community.

Which languages do you speak? I speak fluently Russian, almost fluently English and I started learning German this year, in what I have already reached small victories: I can construct simple sentences, questions and requests.

Have you ever been banned? (if yes, why?) I have never been banned on forums, nor intend to ever be.

Why do you think you should be a forum mod? The reason why I chose to post this application is simple: forums are what I enjoy most of all from this server and I don't want spambots to take over them by advertising. Another issues that occurred during my time around here are the lack of staff attendance to requests & questions of players and proper moderation of certain sections, what is not faithful in my opinion to leave in the same way. I believe I could change the general situation and solve the issues I described above and this is why I think I should be a forum moderator, even though it is not even an existing position yet.

How long can you be active on the server every day? I can dedicate moderating roughly 4-5 hours daily depending on certain circumstances.

Do you have any past experience as a forum moderator? I had a lot of experience in
management of XenFero system forums and Enjin type forums. From that experience I learned how to administrate and basics of moderating: how to lock threads, edit posts and grant players warning points. I believe that knowledge is more than enough to moderate forums I believe.

I'd give my support of you being a Forum Moderator, because if anyone was to do it why not you, however in my opinion I believe that if you want to be a moderator, you should do the whole job, not just the good bits. Administrating the forums was my favourite part of moderating, and is extremely easy. I don't support the implementation of this rank, and I don't see the point of applying for a rank that doesn't yet exist.
But, I guess if we're solely supporting whether if there was a forum mod rank, I support you being the one to have it.

1) I'm not interested in moderating server as I'm not quite active in chat and Minecraft seems boring to me now.
2) Administrating forums is not that easy as soon as you have a big audience. Sure, there is big team of moderators helping you to do the duties, but I used to work in a small team.
3) I don't know if the rank gets implemented it, so let's ask Zambiana about it.

 

Not sure what you mean there .-. if you were a forum moderator, you would be working amongst any other moderators/administrators, and therefore the job is easy. Sometimes chat and in-game can get boring, but moderators have to deal with that and do every part of their job, not only the easy-fun bits. That's mainly my point.

 

I mean, I worked on forum like this and the forum staff team was very small because server moderators were too busy helping on the server and couldn't dedicate time forums, plus owner was really inactive and no one could accept new mods, so moderating forums was hard. I agree with your point that the job is easy when you work amongst other moderators/administrators.

 

So far the application is really good. Just try adding more detail to it. I see you on the forums quite a bit considering we're in different timezones. I really like you as a person because you're the sort of person that doesn't care what anyone else thinks about your opinion. You have that firm but fair attitude from what I can tell, and I like it. I think that having a forums moderator would make it easier on the server moderators in terms of getting rid of spambots and stuff, but I'm not sure if implementing the rank is actually going to provide any significant benefits. I guess we'll have to see.

There won't be a lot to abuse, as all staff members are under control, plus moderator rank doesn't grant a lot of permissions.
