I live on the West Coast of the USA, therefore putting me in the Pacific Standard Time Zone. (UTC-08:00) Which languages do I speak? I speak fluent English and am currently learning Spanish. Yo hablo un poco espanol. (I speak a little spanish) I'm only in Spanish II right now, but I am on pace to take Spanish IV as I continue learning the language. Have you ever been banned? (if yes, why?)I have never been banned from a server, simply due to the fact that I truly love the friendships I make and the people I meet as I spend more and more time bonding with the community. Why do I think I should be a mod? Though I am not the chattiest of players, I think I deserve to be a moderator because I am always at the ready to help players when they need it. I enjoy making another player smile or just simply say "Thank you." It always brings a smile to my face realizing that I just made someone's day a little bit better. I recently figured how to work my way around the forums, which is an excitement to me because I now will be able to give my thoughts and feedback on other ideas, giving me a say in what happens in this community. Though I only recently actively joined the forums, I am looking forward to participating and contributing to this server in the years to come. Becoming more deeply involved in the community, that desire to play is no longer satisfying me. I have developed the need to help. Characteristics that make me a good moderator Patience: Being the middle sibling at the age of 14 in a spread out family, I can relate to both pestering my older sibling and being pestered by my younger sibling. When I am constantly being asked questions by my younger sibling, I just take a deep breath, remember I did the same, and do my best to answer them to the best of my abilities. Determinated: I am fully aware that as being a mod, multiple people are simultaneously messaging you with questions or calls for help. I am willing to take this task head on and do my best to respond to every person that requires my assistance. Mature: Though I can be quite sarcastic when talking with my friends, I understand when someone truly needs my help or opinion. Respectful: Donor or not, new or experienced, older or younger, I treat a players as if they are all equal. We were all "greenies" and noobs to minecraft at one point right? Dedicated: I am on this server daily, devoted to helping and playing alongside the players that make up this wonderful community. Observant: As I mentioned earlier, I may not be the chattiest person, but I am always keeping an eye on the chat making sure that everything is going well and checking if anyone is messaging me. Fast Typer: Whenever needed, I am always at the ready to quickly respond to players who need help. Though I am not the fastest typer in the world, I can easily get the job done when needed. Unbiased: Though I do make friends in the community, I understand that friendships need to be separated from decisions when the time comes. Open minded: I am always open to the opinions of others. Even if I disagree with the opinion of someone else, I will still always give them a chance to give their best effort to prove me wrong. I have teachers that never let me say what I think is right, which always frustrating, so I understand that I would not want to treat someone the same way. Treat others in the way that you would to be treated. Friendly: Always wanting to improve my bonds within the community, I'm always looking to create more friendships with the people that support the skyblock.net family. Honest: If I do something, I own up to it. I can't stand when people try to lie or avoid telling the truth. Composed: I am well aware that being a mod can be at times very stressful. I constantly deal with stressful things in daily life, so I am prepared to stay calm and collected when called upon as a mod. Responsible: I take things seriously. When preparing for a test, I don't sit around and wait until I write my name on the top and say "Well here goes nothing!". I study and get myself ready for the information I will need to know when the time comes. This is similar to being a moderator - If I were to get the spot, I wouldn't just say "Well sweet! What now?". Since I have never been a moderator, I will study the commands and duties that they have to take on daily, so that when the time came, I would be perfectly ready to handle the situation with ease. Active: I'm on skyblock.net daily, always ready to leap into action when the job calls for it. How long can I be active on the server every day? (Note, these are possible times, not when I will definitely be on the sever) Monday: 2-11 PM Tuesday: 4-11 PM Wednesday: 4-11 PM Thursday 4-11 PM Friday 4 pm - Midnight (Often later on Friday and Saturday) Saturday 9 am - Midnight Sunday 9 am - 11 PM (Note: I do play soccer competitively, so I practice daily but I that does not take much time away. Also Note: I will typically play 2+ hours daily on week days (2 at the minimum) and 4+ on weekends(4 at the minimum) Do I have any past experience as a moderator? I have not been a moderator on a server before, but I am excited and prepared to hopefully jump right in on skyblock.net!
