Hello Eitan, thank you for taking the time to create an appeal.

You were originally banned for island farming multiple buckets of lava, as well as a few hundred blocks of dirt, on various islands. You then proceeded to have all of the accounts place the materials on your island, to be used later. I find it very difficult to believe that you did not know what you were doing, as you have been a part of this server for quite a long time, and there are many players every day that ask what island farming is and why it is illegal. It is very difficult to not notice these messages, especially if you have been a part of this server for as long as you have.

You state here that you did not read the rules until after you had farmed the illegal materials. That would explain why you did not know what you were doing, until after you island farmed, however that is still not an excuse. One of the first things that a player should do when joining the server is read the rules. They are there for a reason, to inform players of what the rules are, so that they can be sure to not break them. You cannot use the fact that you did not bother to read the rules to excuse your actions, especially when the specific rule that you broke is stated multiple times per day, in public chat.

I apologize if I am misunderstanding what you are saying, however this sentence seems to state that the ban was correct, but you didn't island farm? Please elaborate and explain if you feel this ban was justified by your actions, or if you feel that it was unfair. Please include evidence and/or reasoning for your decision.

You state here that the rules were not explained well enough to you, and that you had no idea it was illegal. It is your responsibility to look at the rules yourself, and ensure that you understand every one of them. If you are ever unclear, and want clarification about a certain rule, you can feel free to message any staff member, however refusal to do so does not give you an excuse. Your are still responsible for abiding by these rules, and failure to follow them will be punished accordingly. If you only stopped when Heatherly told you that it was illegal, how did she find out in the first place? If your story is true, why did you not destroy the illegally obtained items, or talk to a staff member about the situation. You would have most likely been given a much shorter ban if you had come to a staff member to talk about what you had done, and possibly even complete amnesty.

To summarize what I have just explained, I have a very hard time believing that you had no idea what you were doing, as questions are asked about island farming multiple times per day. If this is true, I would like a more in-depth explanation as to what happened. Be sure to explain everything that led up to your decision to island farm, and why you chose to try to hide this, once you found out it was illegal.

Please restate all of the rules, which can be found here, in your own words. Please explain why island farming should not be allowed, and how it could negatively impact the server, under the rule about island farming.

I would also like you to answer the following questions.

• How did Heatherly find out that you were island farming?
  
• How often did you island farm? To the best of your ability, when did you most recently island farm?
  
• Once you found out that island farming was illegal, what did you do about the situation?
• Have you ever seen messages in chat asking about island farming, being followed up with an answer that it was illegal?
• Is there any other information you would like to add before continuing with the appeal?
