Auctionhouse, also known as /ah, has undergone some changes in the recent weeks and months: Max price has been raised from 10m to 20m Sorting has been reversed. Newest offers are being displayed first. There is a 1% tax applied for sales But what about people making use of these changes for the disadvantage and quality of /ah? I think I might have a solution for that: I am speaking of maybe 1% listing deposit. To list a 20m Item will then mean a 200k deposit. If your item has run out of time with no sell, your 1% deposit will be returned when recollecting the item. But you cannot get back the deposit when delisting the item before the auction has run out. It will then turn into a fee. Why? 1. Player misuse the new sorting When Items dont sell on the first day and their items moved to page two, they simply de- and relist their items to have them back at the pole position. 2. It makes sellers think twice about fair prices Expecially for people demanding higher prices there will be a second thought of what they are willing to demand and actually need to sacrifice one of their 5 slots available. 3. /ah becomes a quality place The times of overpriced stuff on /ah will end soon.
I support. I think this deposit should be more like 5% though so that your idea is more affective. 1% is just too low in my opinion.
I support the idea generally, although I don't think it would work to stop /ah being filled with wildly overpriced joke items.
