When Teamspeak users want to block a player often they don't want attention drawn to the user they block. However Teamspeak by default gives blocked users a red colour and they stand out. In my experience this does stop people from blocking others due to the fact it just draws attention to these people when they would rather not see them.
And what about people who you would wish they would stop poking you or messaging you but you have no trouble talking with?
Maybe someone's avatar is something you dislike and don't care for.
Well I will show you the way to block people without having the awful red colour and how to customise what you block.

Step 1: Block the user or alternatively Buddy the users: Either way will work

♠ Right click on the user you wish the block/buddy
♠ Press "add as blocked" or "add as friend"
♠ They should now be on your friend list and have a custom nickname and look like this in channels: [IMG]

Step 2: Making the User neutral in your friends list
♠ Click on the [IMG]button on your toolbar. You should see your contacts list appear; Friends are green and at the top, blocked users are red and at the bottom.
♠ Find the user you just blocked and click on them, and on the side you should the tab "General". Click it then you should see 3 radio buttons: Blocked, Neutral and Friend. Make them neutral by clicking the radio button beside neutral like this.

The users name in your friend list should now be black and not red or green.

    Step 3: Applying blocks

♠ Now that you have made the user you need to block look like a regular teamspeak user it is time to apply blocks on them. Click on the "Ignore" tab
♠ You will see check boxes that tell you what you can block. From there you can select what this user cannot do.

    • Mute: You will not be able to hear the client in your channel
    • Ignore server/channel chat: You will not see when the person types in your channel
    • Ignore private chat: You will not see private messages
    • Ignore Pokes: You do not get pokes from the user
    • Hide Avatar: You will not be able to see their avatars
    • Hide away message: If the player sets an away message you will not be able to see it.
Please note if you mute a player their usual blue circle will change to: [IMG]
♠ Set all desirable options then close your contacts box.

You should now have a player who is blocked the way you want and does not stand out.
