The manner of game I am accustomed to (constructing, creating adventure-type maps etc) doesn't make me rely heavily on communicating with other players, but when I try, it mostly gives frustration. The problem is I can't find means to stop receiving messages from everyone and restrict to either my immediate vicinity/my island/whitelist/whatever else that possibly exists. Browsing through chat history with hundreds messages appearing every minute isn't fun, either. The commands '/ch 1' and '/ch 3' do not work, AFAIS. Existing FAQs have no useful hints, as well (they seem to get out-of-date quickly). I would appreciate any piece of advise on how to switch to public and less public modes. Thanks.
/ch 3 is local chat, so if there is no one near you (100 blocks away) you wont see anything in chat except for broadcasts. Or you could turn off your chat in your Minecraft settings.
On skyblock.net: /ch doesn't work on skyblock.net (only on skyblock.org). What shall I use on skyblock.net? Thanks.
On .net there is a command /l (/localchat) which only talks to people within a 100 block radius, but I believe it doesn't block out the global chat. The only other option would be to turn off chat :/
Yes, I know of /l - looks like it's a good time to post feature request about muting glpbal chat on .net. Thanks.
