Okay so i recently got a 3 day ban for breaking the rules wich i completely understand (ZSG), so i started a new island on an alt wich had nothing to do with ZSG thinking it was okay, Staff even knew i was the banned alt of ZSG so they could've just told me that its not allowed, so after 2 days i got a 12 hour ban for "ban evading" wich is still understandable, One thing i do not understand is why the ban turned into 3 days insead of 12 hours, I find it a little weird/unfair since i always help members, try my best to help with bugs and i never had the intention of breaking the rules in the first place. and now i get an extended ban while i thought it was okay since other staff was cool with it...

I gave you a very clear warning in-game when players reported you AFK-mining at your island, you were not sure of the rules which is why it was only a warning, I then showed you the Acceptable Hacks/Cheats thread and explained to you why this was against our server rules. I asked you if you understood what was just said to you, and you did, you were sorry and that you would stop AFK-mining. Wonkie then gets told later on that you continued to mine despite understanding that it is not allowed, and consequently you were banned for it. We then find out that you are ban evading on a series of alts - may I point out, 12 hours before it expired - which is against our server rules. Your ban was extended because you failed to learn our rules and broke more of them before you were unbanned. This is Wonkie's appeal though, so you will have to talk it out with him.

 

Hold on, I am told AFK mining is allowed... I just stopped using nuker. Is THAT the reason i got banned? afk mining...

 

The thread I showed you has this on the top line. Did you read it at all or did you just reply 'I understand'?

 

I am told in game that just afk mining with holding my mause is allowed and alot of users do it.

 

And since reading is difficult for me i did not read it

 

Wonkie and myself tried to message you multiple times, there was no response and it looked like it was a client.
This is Wonkie's ban though so I'm going to let him decide what happens here.

 

I messages Wonkie, I Always watch youtube while mining in f1 mode for lag purposes, but when i afk i just mine straight ahead.

 

Just to clear up any confusion you may have had:

• The main reason you were banned is that after Southwark explicitly warned you to not use automine/nuker hacks, you continued to use them. A player reported you after South warned you, for continuing to use these hacks. You were using nuker, which is a mod that we have not allowed since about July 2019.
• You asked me on an alternate account after you were banned saying if you could still play on another account. I explicitly said no, and then banned this account.
• No breaches were reported until approximately 12 hours before your ban expired, when you logged in with alternate accounts to play. Another staff member banned you for the remaining ban period, and notified me. South and I agreed to extend your ban for two extra days, because of the disregard of myself saying that you were not permitted to play on other accounts during your ban.

After discussions through discord, thank you for accepting your ban and understanding the rules you broke. I would still appreciate you to wait out the rest of the ban, it is not long until it expires anyways. Please carefully read the rules and acceptable hacks threads again, linked above by Southwark.

To answer your question from discord about AFK mining, I am going to say that it is permitted, under several conditions.Hacks that influence the mining speed or amount of blocks broken in a small period of time are definitely not allowed under any circumstances. These are the hacks you used which lead to this ban.

• Only mining speeds and movements possible in vanilla minecraft are permitted. Therefore, the 'glitch' possible with F5 tricks will be permitted, as this only allows mining speeds and rates possible in vanilla minecraft.
• We will still ask however, that you don't remain mining for significant periods of time (several hours). I understand that a lot of these stone generators use hoppers, and if the chests and hoppers get full, leaving a monumentous amount of items stuck in hoppers/on the ground, causing possible performance issues for the server.
  • Also do not use afk mining for long periods of time, in case a staff member or someone else may need to contact you.

So the short answer to your question is: AFK mining is allowed as long as it does not break normal mining characteristics possible in vanilla minecraft, and you do not afk mine for significant periods of time, to prevent issues with any automated collection machines.

I'm going to 'deny' this appeal, as I would like for you to wait out the rest of your ban, but I really do appreciate you owning up for your mistakes. If you have any questions on what I've said in this reply, please let me know .
