Today I couldn't log in to the servers from my main account (alt doesn't have any problems) The message error says "ReadTimeoutException:null" I tried restarting my computer/modem, login from another pc, another internet connection, switching between versions but nothing helps.. I thought server restart would help but I still can't log in.. Any help?
I think this is a lag based issue. (When you switched connections btw it is very likely you connected to an extension of your main network, making essentially very little change) However, this is good, as this means you only have to wait for your internet connection to get better which shouldn't take too long. (Either this or mojang's servers are glitching again, both of which should be very temporary and short lasted so all you have to do is wait for the wi-fi to strengthen or a few minutes in which mojang's servers should unglitch.) (It may also be a lag based issue on skyblock's behalf as skyblock does face a lot of lag very often.)
I used to have this problem all the time on a Surface Pro of mine. I tried absolutely everything, was bent on the idea of smashing it on purpose and handing it in for warranty... There's either 2 causes of this issue. 1) Do you crash when you load up singleplayer? If not, look at 2. 2) Seeing as your other computers and problems can't connect either, I suspect either something with ports being localised/blocked or your internet just being very slow (and unable to connect to the server). However, as you are able to post here, I do not believe it is your internet. Remember to use version 1.12.2. The only thing I can suggest at this point in time is a google search and trying solutions from people with similar problems - and to check your logs. Sometimes these can reveal things.
Thanks for replying! My internet connection is fine since I can play on my alt, also can connect to another servers. I searched for solutions but it seems that every server has its own fixes, I tried reinstall the game and chose different versions (I play on 1.12.2 usually) I don't know if it's connected to the thread but sometimes I stuck in the lobby spawn and cant do anything for hours it's pretty annoying and never happened to my alts.. My only hope now it will somehow magically be fixed when I'll return to my home tommorow...

Hey there Sirenetie, 002 here. Sorry for the late reply, but I thought you may still need some assistance if this problem ever surfaces for you again. This post can also help out others who are facing the same issue in the future. Firstly, let's take a look into this error. When receiving this sort of errors, it can be a result of these: 1) Your ping was too high for the server to handle 2) The server you are trying to enter became full. 3) You were kicked by the Terminal. 4) The proxy is messed up. This error "ReadTimeoutException:Null" is a typical technical jargon error that has something to do with Java, mainly caused by your internet. To fix this issue, try to relog onto the server, and if that doesn't work, restart your Internet or Minecraft. Hoped this thread helped you out! Cheers, 002
This post is not helpful as your ideas have already been attempted by the user and suggested by posts above. Not to mention that these are completely false statements Don't post in help sections if you don't have any idea what you are talking about and are just copying some of the previous posts.
Ahh, an ultracrepiderian person. Firstly, let me point out that the ideas were not attempted. He only tried restarting his computer and playing on another PC, or switching connections, without addressing the main issue. The reason for the error maintaining is probably due to the connection still being weak despite the wifi change. The error is also not due to the versions of the game. As a player who experienced this issue myself, I am pretty sure I know what I am talking about and that it is nothing related to the computer/version that is causing him these problems.
You said: So you're trying to say that the user hasn't tried these ideas despite them literally telling us that they have... They restarted their internet and "tried another internet connection", I'm not sure what about that isn't adressing internet issues... Well as you would see if you had read all of the previous replies you would have seen that the user is not experiencing weak internet connection as they are able to connect to other servers and even this particular server on a secondary account Obviously... The user already tried that as they mentioned just a few posts before yours. 002 If you want to try and dig a deeper hole, DM me : )
