Okie, don't tell me I was being stupid. I know that, I was tired, and no, I wasn't serious. He knew I was just kidding, we always joked about that when I went to his school. Okie, so... this kid- let's call him Derp because he deserves to be called Derp. And let's call my best friend Melody. Melody is the perfect name for her! Also, Red is my other friend and I'll be Celest because I like that name! Anyway, I was having a sleep over with my friend Melody and our friend Red. Melody and I were going to a dance before the sleepover. So, I went to pick up Melody. When I got to her house, she was sobbing in her room with her mum hugging her. I walked in and asked wot happened. Alright, so here's some background info: Derp is this guy from my old school that was my frienemy. You know that kid who you're really friends with, but you always pretend that you hate them or something just to be funny? And they play along? Well he was that friend. I would never hurt him, we used to be besties. We would play checkers on a piece of paper during math class, talk about stuff at lunch, I'd chase him at recess, pretending I was going to try to kill him. It was all a joke, and we were just little fifth graders! Anyway, Derp and Melody had been going out for over a year. Then he dumped her. I said almost exactly this, "Derp, I am going to stab you with my purple scissors o.,,.o you broke Melody's heart, I'ma break yours xD ~Celest" So we went to the dance. Then some kids from my old school were there, who had apparently stalked Melody's instagram and totally exaggerated the situation. "Did you really sneak scissors in here to kill Derp!?" they said "No... It was a joke..." I mumbled, walking away with Melody. Then we danced, we went crazy, I walked to my mum's car, got hit by her car (long story, but don't worry, I'm okay xD), then went home, watched a horror movie with Red, went to sleep, woke up, and life went on. Four and a half days later, my dad tells me that the principal emailed him and I may be expelled. Apparently Derp's parents had been reading his instagram- not only his instagram, but Derp's parents had read his ex-girlfriend's instagram as well as the comments on her photos. So, then they saw my post. They completely spazzed, told their principal, who told my principal, who told my dad. Now, apparently, I'm in big trouble for "threatening to kill someone". WHAT THE FRELL DO I DO!? CAN I BE EXPELLED!? IS THIS LEGAL? They don't really know it was me who posted it, considering it was on Melody's account. Can they legally have me expelled? Would it be better for me to apologise and say I was being an idiot despite the fact that it was a joke and would be no big deal, had they not noticed? Or should I claim to never have done it? Halp me Skyblockers! I'ma die. Possibly tonight. I may never come on again! I might either have my laptop taken away or simply have died of unknown causes. *explodes*
Lol I hate this school anyway- I'd rather be somewhere else. I want to go to online school. My dad makes me go to an expensive christian school when I'm atheist. The only problem with being expelled is the embarrassment.

Yeah... Well, he totally deserved it. After I left the school, he ran around telling rumors about me- like that I had stabbed him in the nose and he ran around calling me Scissor Girl, then he told a lot of other rumors, too.
Honestly, that's retarded. Just tell your friend's mom it was a joke. If she doesn't listen, then get your friend to tell her it was a joke.
Yeah... You don't understand the people from my old school. I elbow someone in a friendly manner and they call it assault then send me home from school early.

I got suspended once for death threats. Not worth an expulsion, I don't think. I almost got arrested that time too. But I was underage, and the parents were over exaggerating. Depends on the situation. Considering you are/were sort of friends, and you didn't mean it literally, you most likely wouldn't get expelled.

Omg same! I made a lot of death threats when I was little. I didn't understand what death was. That explained why I thought it was no big deal that I stab myself. Good thing I couldn't sharpen my crayons enough LOL
I'm laughing really hard on the inside, but I can't laugh because I have a bandaid on my face preventing almost any movement of my mouth.
1. Illegal You can get arrested for this, someone threatend to kill me, as soon as I mentioned it, they backed right the hell off. (Kinda funny) 2. Most likely expelled for like a month or something dumb like that.

I just feel like people nowadays are SO oversensitive. Texas teen makes violent joke during video game, is jailed | The Daily Caller Someone called a kid 'crazy' on League of Legends, to which he responded with a sarcastic joke about how he was totally gonna go shoot up a school "lol jk." But some very conscientious and frankly idiotic mother saw this on her child's screen, looked up where this guy lived, and saw that he lived within a few miles of an elementary school. He now faces 8 years in prison. For a harmless joke. On League of Legends. Get over it.

I swear, some over-protective, selfish parents & unreasonably strict schools these days make such a big deal out of everything. The best way to resolve this is to tell them exactly what happened & why. No exaggeration, nothing - just the pure story. Sure, you might get punished, which is alright - everyone learns from what they did. However, this'll prevent things from getting any bigger, which is usually what happen in cases such as this. Just tell them the whole story - this way, I doubt you'll be heavily punished, at most suspension...even if you do, it won't leave a bad taste in your mouth & form no regrets. Good luck & I hope/pray for you, for the best possible outcome to come out of this situation.
