    mortals

the card was purchased before i could get it, and so was the second one, but i've been contacting the seller of another, and you wouldn't believe the deal i'm getting

    Motherboard: MSU B550M PRO-VDH WIFI
    Processor: Ryzen 3 3100 4 core 8 thread with a boost clock to 3.9GHZ
CPU Cooler: CoolerMaster ML120L RGB V2
    Ram: XPG Spectrix D41 RGB 3200 16GB (2 x 8GB) dual channel
Graphics Card: EVGA RTX 2060 Super SC Black Gaming
Power Supply: EVGA 500 Bq, 80+ Bronze
Case: Lian Li 205M Black (Tempered Glass)
    Storage 1: Kingston A400 240G SSD M.2 2280
    Storage 2: WD Blue 1TB 6 GB/s 7200 RPM

    guess how much i'm paying

    guess

    325

    yeah

i am messaging them to see if they can box the graphics card on the side and not in the motherboard, because we all know what shipping does to graphics cards

Great to see you took the PSU advice, the one listed there should be perfect for this configuration. All pretty good for a low end gaming system

Assuming this is a working PC, buy now send extra details later. This is an incredible deal, the GPU just by itself can be sold for 400 easy.

And now I have an actual good backup - the listing was posted only a few hours ago, a 2060 for 250, so if this seller doesn't respond (which may happen) then at least I've a backup.

yeah get that whole pc, you got amazingly lucky my friend
EDIT: I would spend the saved money on a 2tb NVME SSD. It may seem like overkill, but if you are anything like me you will have hundreds of gigabytes if not terabytes of files over the years. + 2tb ssds are generally faster than 240gb

Are you using a classified ads service like craigslists or facebook marketplace (or equivalent)?
People on those sites tend to not want to bother with shipping/mailing items (otherwise they would post on ebay, generally better competitive pricing).
Or they already sold the item and they have not bothered with updating the post, in case of the $325 2060 PC, that would not be surprising.
Check the post creation date and last updated time, if it any of the either are within the last week then assume it has not been sold yet.

Yeah I think thats what imma have to do. I found a computer for 500$ posted just a bit ago, but they said they would sell me just the graphics card (2070 super), so imma see what they will charge for it. But they actually responded and they just posted so it may actually go through lol!

    OH MY FRICKING GOSH
HE SAID HE WOULD SELL IT FOR 100
No way. I'm giving him 150.

edit: that almost sounds too good to be true, be cautiously optimistic
    a 2070s for 100 is so good

The way the website works, they don't get paid until I get my item.
I get a 2 day evaluation period, then it charges if I don't say otherwise.

aaaaand they wanna use a 3rd party payment system, thats a nope

what if I bought a 1060 to hold off for a while, and then an rtx card once prices go down, and I could sell my 1060 for like 100 or 150 or somethn

curb your enthusiasm a little; you will (no matter what) sell your 1060 at a loss of around $50. if that's okay with you, feel free, but otherwise be patient

That’s my goal, it’ll sell for 100 and then I make 150 from mowing lawns in the summer and then 250 should be able to do new graphics cards and I’ll have 100 to spare

A 1060 for 150 is a great deal, the seller is either
    A. An idiot for not knowing the current prices (1060 6gb goes for ~250 USD ebay)
    B. Scamming, card could be heat-damaged or have other issues not immediately apparent (unable to work under load sort-of thing).
    C. Desperate, in which case you are lucky.

In any case (besides B), you can resell the card for an easy 50-100. But only if you are able to actually buy the card

Considering the performance on the 1060, it would not be a bad decision to keep it then upgrade to an nvidia 4070 or amd rx 7800 when they eventually get released and you have more money.

Ooh I may wait for the 4070, although to be honest, all of these cards are overkill except for Minecraft RTX and sea of thieves on ultra settings. I think a cheap 2070 super may be able to ride be all the way until I’m 18, in which I won’t be playing games anymore

Thanks for the intel, no clue why it got a rude rating, I found it very helpful!
