This is a guide on how to play skyblock.net and is subject to change. (Last updated: MAR/26/2025) I want this section to be about Economy, but a guide for the Survival server may follow in the future. “Why should I trust this guide?” My #1 goal is to set the facts straight. Check /faq Although the server may appear to be a number of certain versions (including modern), the basis of it is 1.19.2. I would not recommend playing past 1.20.4 (One way to get around this is getting the mod ViaFabricPlus and selecting 1.20.4). There are two known reasons players crash when on 1.20.5+; Glow squids Wither Skeleton and Skeleton pets from /pet Genuinely, if a Minecraft mechanic seems overpowered or can even be considered useful, then there’s a safe bet you can’t do that here. I just want to say that right off the bat. I do hope to see more vanilla features return to skyblock.net someday. I’ll list disabled features later. Welcome! We are a Skyblock server that uses in-game currency called Skybucks (This is opposed to Survival, which uses grass blocks). Do /daily to get your starter money each day! Sometimes I see players wondering what the end-goal is. Part of Minecraft and Skyblock, in my opinion, is about setting your own goals! You can try to beat Drogo’s balance and become the richest player on Eco! You could shoot for /is top! You could complete as many Advancements as possible! The choice is yours! Sell to /shop! You can type /sell handall, /sell hand, and /sell all. “/sell handall” sells every type of item Or do “/warp shop” and sell there for better prices! Make a cobblestone generator! A basic design is at /warp cobblegen. You have a chance to get ores when cobblestone forms! You can disable that in /settings if you want. If your lava turned into obsidian, then you can right click it while holding an empty bucket to turn it back into lava. The rates are under /gen. Unfortunately, there’s no way to change these rates beyond disabling them entirely in /settings. Hoppers are limited AND nerfed to try to combat bad TPS. They will not pick up items instantly. You can work around this by utilizing hopper minecarts, which do still pick up items instantly. (At least when you're standing in the same chunk) Remember how dirt trade is illegal? You learned that in /rules. “Can’t I just farm dirt?” In vanilla Minecraft, yes. Here, no. You will find that all ways of dirt duping/farming are nerfed, disabled, or against the rules. You can ONLY get dirt from /shop. You can also substitute this with grass blocks. DO NOT keep resetting your island to farm dirt. That IS against the rules. You WILL be caught. If you vote everyday of the month (Not a month; THE month. From the 1st to 28th/30th/31st.), then you are guaranteed to win a gift card to use on the server store! You can quick open vote keys! Sneak and right click in the air while holding the vote key! Be careful! Make sure your inventory isn’t too full! Right now, a lot of mobs have disabled AI. If you want to farm mobs, you have a few options. One is to just visit an island like sigxo (/visit sigxo) and farm mobs there. Another is to use monster spawner blocks, as those mobs can spawn in water and be pushed towards a killing chamber. I would not recommend making a mob flusher, but I can’t stop you. You’ll hear about AFK profit shops. You go there and stand around, waiting for an item to be dispensed to you every now and again. You sell that item straight back and boom, free money! Free money? What’s the catch? The only catch is you COULD be earning more on your own island through crophoppers, but those take a long time to max out. The deal is; you’re loading someone else’s crophopper chunks for them and getting a cut of the profits. Think of it like you’re an employee, not the CEO. Crophoppers? Yes, they automatically harvest and immediately sell certain crops for profits. Some notes to keep track of are; Sugar cane will not grow on moss blocks in any condition. However, they will still make money through the use of crophoppers. So basically, a sugar cane crophopper can use moss blocks. A regular sugar cane farm can NOT. We do not have official word on if this will change or not. The money earned is based on who places the crophopper, whether you're in a co-op or not. The player who placed the crophopper must be online in order to make money from it. You can still use these as regular hoppers! If you're not going to utilize them as hoppers, I would recommend placing composters on top of them to help fight bad server TPS. DISABLED FEATURES: Structures Villager trading Iron Golems dropping iron ingots Drowneds dropping tridents Zombies dropping iron ingots Farming lava through dripstone A workaround is to get obsidian, place it, and then right click it while holding an empty bucket.
