How do you get beacons if you can't get into the nether? Is it from voting?

 

I believe it was in 2012 when the nether was on people got nether stars and made them into beacons. I could be wrong since I wasn't on Skyblock when it happened.

 

So basically they're impossible to obtain unless you trade with someone who's been playing since 2012?

 

Pretty much, yeah. Most are lost by now but there is a good amount still circulating.

It's a gamemode, only obtainable from console or an op.

Back in like 2012-2013 we sold every nether item at /warp nether but we removed it. I believe it was at /warp halloween inside the volcano.

 

It's also impossible to get nether stars too then, correct? :0

I never said you didn't have beacons, I was only saying that a lot are gone by now, but there's still a lot of them. There were a lot more in the past, but there is less now.

 

It's not actually that bad to get one to be quite honest. It usually sells for around 50 Diamonds or so, but when you look at other stuff (Ie: Creeper Heads, "Silked" spawners, etc.) 50 diamonds isn't really a lot.

There is a demand for them, as well as those willing to sell. You just gotta find the right guy at the right time.

Because there are plenty of people that I know (who haven't been playing since 2012-2013) that have beacons. Thus you do not need to trade with someone who's been playing for a long time in order to obtain beacons, lol. I was disagreeing with your agreement, and wondering why you said that..

 

no warp nether sold the item as nether stars, but the only thing you can do with a nether star is make a beacon. So most players made their stars into beacons, and now the price of nether stars is incredibly high because few are still around.

 

When I was a greenbean, I sold mine for God items XD
