This is just a simple thread to address a funny moment that happens quite a bit for anyone doing a drop party. For example, most people ask for things, and when you oblige and give them something they will always ask for more. I just find it funny that they aren't grateful that I gave them something in the first place. Sometimes its even along the lines of a a diamond that I would privately give someone and they turn around asking for another one without even saying thanks for one. Reply if this always happens to you guys!
So many times. I have given probably close to 200+ diamonds as refunds when people didnt deserve it and half the time people just ask for more stuff as if I have creative and poop diamonds or something. I have help many drop parties and also dropped over 300 diamonds and people still have the nerve to ask for more stuff and even beg me to host more drop parties. But being gracious isnt exactly the aim on skyblock unfortunately.
Hey, They always want more. Yes this happens to me which is probz why i dont donate in the first place
I really don't like the people who ask for more when we are going out of our way to give them some items. Like when I was giving away some of my random god items people started asking for more.
I hate when you give a player something then they ask for more then they ask for specfic items and you think "oh they need it" then you see you have non and tell them so then they keep asking for every single other item in existence and dont get the point of you ending up to say no to every single item they ask for.
You know whats the funniest thing? Someone asked for something, and I didn't give it to them, they threatened to report me xD
Oh my god, this happened to me plenty of times before. There was this girl, she'd ask me for a few iron every day, stating, "I lost my bucket," I'd always ask her what happened with the iron I gave her, and she'd say she never used it or so. I also did a few god item drops at /spawn, and people'd always ask me, "oh, can I have more?" Or when like, I'd hold my diamond skin comps, "can I get something too please?" Like, it's a contest, not a dropparty. Not to be rude, I don't give items to people who want it, I only give it to people who need it.
Normally I'll feel generous or willing to help a newer player out by giving them materials/building blocks/etc, but whenever they just straight up ask me for valuables or other miscellaneous items, I reply the same thing: "Sorry, I don't give things to those who ask me." It's worked so far for me... They usually just say something along the lines of "it's fine," or "okay..." but it's even more agitating when they spam you with the message to get their point across (That they REALLY need items!). I give to those who I believe will use the items in the most productive way, not to those seeking wealthiness or an easy way to feed their greed. I hope some agree that the server isn't purely all about economics. Side note: Hey 'feed their greed,' that rhymes. Also, I really love when said-person tells me about projects or their plans for what they're going to do with their island, etc. It makes me want to give them more and help them more, especially if they're polite and tell me thank you.
looool the only thing close to this that i remember was sleepina going on an alt and asking me for diamonds, when i said no he called me a skrub. i was raging in chat lmfao
oh god, I also remembered, way back when I spent all of my rares, grass, (etc.) for a terraformed island, a new greenie messaged me, "hi, can I have some grass or something?" "I don't have any; sorry." "wow, I thought donors were nice!!!" "you're going on my ignore list!!"
