Server name (.net / .org ): .net In-game name: vfhuuuuu Full exact Ban Message: Killing players appeal at Skyblock Forums Lemonade (6/30) .net Your ban will be removed on 2016-07-02 at 12:33:06 Did you read the rules ?: Yes Why do YOU think you were banned?: No reason Was this an incorrect ban?: Yes Were you ever banned before on SkyBlock? If so, what for?: Yes, "Player Killing" again Why do you think you should be unbanned?: I was banned for player killing despite the fact I had no intention to player kill. I was doing a DP on SuperHammy3's island, which was only 1 block of bedrock and a bit of wood. I decided to do a DP on his island because I thought it would be funny to see a million people on 1 block. I told everyone that I was doing a DP and a bunch of people came. I did the DP and I was banned for 2 Days for "Player Killing". Again, I had no intention to player kill and I would like an unban.
Common sense literally should tell you that that's considered player killing even after your first drop party. What does that mean?
It means I didn't think that you had a legit reason to ban me, so therefore you banned me for no reason.
You invited people to come on a single island and hosted a drop party and threw it in the void. How is that not player killing?
Didn't you think that you would kill players by having them on a single block, especially due to 1.9?
They could just teleport to someone else's island if they fell off. Its not that hard to avoid dying.
People don't think clearly while falling to their death... What made you have the drop party on his island?
You do realize that you were warned about this before, right? Yet you did it again and had a dangerous drop party. I'm being serious when I say this and not trying to be rude, but were you thinking?
Warned? I did not receive a kick or any notice from a staff member to stop the DP before I was banned.
We don't have to warn you every time you host a drop party, do we? No, we don't. You had a drop party in which you threw diamonds in the void for players to catch before, yet you didn't learn?
Yes, but I wasn't dropping diamonds into the void this time. I had everyone stand on 1 block above the void and did not intentionally drop diamonds into the void. Also, isn't it standard for mods to warn someone about something before they ban them?
You have had your warning prior to this from your previous warning/tempban, so there was no need to warn you for something the exact same. You already brought this up. Whether or not you did it intentionally, you did it. And because of your actions, players probably died and lost their items. If you were thinking clearly and realized that people are on 1.9 and will die if they're pushed off, you wouldn't have done it.
I don't see how previous bans can relied on to influence your decisions now. If someone is banned 3 years ago and they forgot they had been banned, the ban couldn't be relied upon for an accurate warning. Now, I know what you're thinking, "Your ban was a few weeks ago not 3 years", Well the same principals apply. If someone has a bad memory and forgets stuff like that easily, previous bans can't be relied upon. Also, I didn't drop diamonds into the void at all (excluding the first ban). I dropped 3 diamonds, all of which landed on the bedrock. Also, that part about people not thinking straightly when falling to their death is complete bull. When I was a greenie, I fell off islands quite frequently and managed to save myself almost every single time. I am fairly confident other people can do the same thing.
If you are going to compare a three year old warning to one last week, then that constitutes for you being unaware of the warning system here. The rules do not change for somebody who "has bad memory," as we are unable to confirm that statement. Notice how you said you never had bad memory. You said that past bans are not a reliable source due to people "forgetting stuff like that." So no, it doesn't work like that. Furthermore, I would like to know how it's "bull" that you threw the diamond into the void. You are thinking now, "I've told him that it was unintentional," but it happened anyways. It's a simple chain: Your choice: Diamond drop party -> people visit -> turns out to be one block -> people stay because they are poor -> throws diamond into void -> jumps after -> doesn't get diamond -> panics and does /spawn What should have happened: Diamond drop party -> people visit -> easily accessible island -> diamonds dropped -> nobody dies When people break a block under an individual, they don't die, but it's considered player killing due to the principle (and no, not the three-year principle as you call it). In a similar way, your actions killed players, whether or not it actually "killed them."
I told you, I didn't drop diamonds into the void. All of the diamonds I dropped landed on the bedrock and people got them. The only reason I dropped diamonds into the void in the first ban was because I wanted to do a drop party in a creative way. Since your falling after the diamonds, it actually involves some strategy to get the diamonds instead of a competition between who has the most expensive router.
Falling for diamonds doesn't involve any sort of legal strategy other than who can die the first. Having a "strategy" does not justify what happened. But that's behind us. You did throw a diamond into the void, whether it be intentional or unintentional, and people jumped after the diamond. I still don't understand what humor you gain from causing people to be on one single block.
I did NOT throw a diamond into the void and I am 100% sure of that. Weather people jumped after something that they though was a diamond is their own problem. But I am 100% certain that all the diamonds I dropped fell on the bedrock.
