A'ight. Time for you all to get the gist.

The disagreement? Players think staff members aren't taking the staff reports seriously, or aren't really taking them in and reading them thoroughly, and maybe trying to avoid getting demoted.

Let me just tell you all: that I'm not taking sides, so yeah. Remember that.

Well, here's the real stuff for you staff. And the smods+ looking at staff reports, listen to the players too. Also, let me suggest (not taking sides) that you read the report thoroughly and analyze it, then decide. If a staff member breaks rules, then they need to be demoted. If a player breaks rules, they need to be punished. For god's sakes, just deal with staff reports the same you would deal with staff reports, because if barely any are going to be accepted, they're just going to resort to going to Cyp. And if all the staff reports were sent to him, what would he think? Look, I know none of you are dumb, but take everything into account.

For example,

Take this in, because she's basically stating her opinion I believe. Listen to this, because you might be able to fix her problem and help her out, because you're a staff member and she's a player, and you're supposed to listen to the people that you became a mod for.

Okay, now that I'm done lecturing the staff..

Okay, players. You may think: "Why do they always just deny staff reports?" Well, you need to listen to them too as they listen to you. Maybe smods+ or whatever are just saying "No, we deny it," with more staff members backing it up, but we need to listen to the mods too. This argument is in no way immature, or petty, or too ongoing. I'm not. Anyways, if they really won't agree that your report isn't good enough to be accepted, then send it to Cyp--if you think you truly have a sufficient pile of evidence, and your explanation to him is good enough, feel free.

So, my point is basically that you each have to put more effort into listening to each other. And staff members, make sure you really read the staff reports thoroughly, because based on the replies on this thread, it sounds like both of you are at fault.

nope they're not. The staff all stick up for each other to the point that even legit ones aren't considered. I've made reports in the past, and whilst I have made a few that were perhaps a bit pathetic, the times where I legit sat there for 30 mins typing up a realistic report, they have been disregarded due to the fact that the staff are all 'friends'.

Well, I have a staff report on CypriotMerks right now. Hasn't even been looked at and it has been up for 3 days.

Mods are friends! Too much hate against each other if they ban each other xD

 

Unless you got concrete evidence of them breaking a rule more than once most likely you're reporting is going to but either a 2-hour debate between you and the mod or them just locking it for insufficient evidence. (Though, this is a different server from what I'm used to, so I'm not sure what goes on in these parts just yet)
