Are the mods doing their job? My answer is no. Mods are constantly doing other things than helping. Just today CowMan720 was asking for help and all mods ignored him and kept talking to Highrollers. Many non-donors wanted help, but they were abruptly ignored too. Someone must do something about this.

Respond if you like or were just ignored.

Know how much a work a mod have to do?
    I don't think so.
So STFU because mods do a lot more than they really should. If you want a mods attention pm them without being rude. Go like this maybe:
/m (name of mod) hello. Could you take your time to help me? Please come/answer when you can.

See? That is how easy it is :)

They even seemed to be ignoring HighRollers. 70% the time they seem to be AFK, 29% talking to each other/highrollers who don't need help, 1% helping people (usually really simple stuff. Cowwy was asking for a good 5-10 minutes for simply moving a spawner up, and LeCookie was asking just as long for a reenchantment for a redstone torch that he placed by accident. the whole time, nothing from any of the mods.
    What is going on?

No one is saying the mods don't have work to do, but bluedevils is bringing up a valid point. Part of the job of mods is to help players, that's why they were made mods. It's fine if they are doing background stuff, but when they have conversations that consist of half emoticons/actions descriptions and half things unrelated to getting anything done it doesn't help portray them as people who are helping the server.
I love the mods, but sometimes it can be frustrating to see all these people who are getting no help at all, especially when there are 2-4 mods online.

You see, pinkd0g145 is right, mods have alot to do, but they should give they're time to the players than talking to highrollers.

Yes I understand, most likely they helped through Pm's to other players.

I have noticed non donors being more ignored than donors. Usually cuz we donors stand out in chat.

My input on this. I, most of the time, do not answer when someone calls for help. I simply message them and tp to them without speaking in public chat. Also, Most of the time, im helping someone else and cannot help 7 other people at the same time. So as Max said, message us instead. We do more work then you seem to think or understand.

Chat is for chatting. Messages are for private. Calls for help should be kept private.

    This.

If someone asks for help in public chat, I'm more likely to look over it. Not on purpose, but because with socialspy, there are already too many messages on the screen. If I see someone messaging ME, then I am more inclined to see it.

Mods want to have some fun too. Its not like, they just sit around doing nothing. They wanna play too. And they, SURELY have some IRL stuff to do. Its better to do it like this: /msg <mod name> Hi <mod name>! Have a moment? Could you <question or problem>? Thanks! Cause if you didn't know,
they have 184 other people on they're hands. You see what I mean? And one more thing, if someone asks for help, you can answer, and not think: 'The mod can do it'. This is my opinion on what we are talking about.

I don't even see messages calling for help in public chat. Maybe on occasion, but they are so hard to detect, and so vague, that I can't do anything about them. Also, answering to 8 people isn't viable. We get questioned all the time, because it is easy to yell blindly at something that you are unaware of. If something is physically impossible to do, then that means you can't do it ... just saying >.>

I hope you realize that there are thousands of people that play on both servers and only a handful of us to help out. From the second I join the server I instantly recieve 8 - 15 pms asking me for help. Explain to me how I can handle all these people's requests.

Oh yea let me not forget that 75% of those people asking for help:

    1) Are spamming me just to ask me for items when I tp to them.
    2) Are pming me with problems they are having with trades [irrelevant now because of trade plugin]
    3) Are pming me without specifying the problem

The best way to get help in general is if you say that you need help with the specific problem you're having rather than just say you need help. It greatly expedites the process.

    Also, I will say this.

The only requests that I blatantly ignore are requests to tp someone to another play.

I agree with all the mods in here. They are constantly trying to do their jobs. They solve griefs, problems, etc. I even try to help them out by talking in the main chat helping others out. I know that their job is hard and they get spammed quite a lot. I let them do them solve huge problems while I solve littler ones.

Cman is right. Everyone is a mod in some way. Everybody needs to pitch in to make everyone satisfied and happy. That is all I wanna say
