I have read up on the rules on the forums and I have a good understanding of them.
Own a discord account - Apple5#1201.

In Game Name – My Main IGN is CraftWithAbbie, I also log in using AfkwithAbbie as my afk account.

(My old Ign was BriefingApple5, Although this account is no longer in use. (also known as – Apple5).


Have no current punishments on-going with an unrestricted discord, forums and Minecraft account on skyblock.net servers –
I don’t have any on-going punishments.

Trustworthy, open to feedback, and able to work in a team environment alongside moderators and developers –
Since joining in July 2022, I have become a well-known and respected member of this skyblock community, I show others respect and am trustworthy. Players ask me if I can support them in game or ask if I can support them with problems, and I do my best to help when I can. I was invited to join the Beta tests last year and this year, and have provided feedback about the beta and what could be improved. I've often spoken with the staff when helping players resolve a problem they asked me to help with, and get on well with many of the team. Im still learning names and meeting new people on the server, and look forwards to getting to know more of you all better too.


General Responsibilities:

- Monitoring chat/forum/ discord channels –
I have my discord where I can be contacted any time throughout the day, and I’m usually following the chat on the economy server I play on. I use my alt account as a chat screen often logged in on my phone. This lets me save a chat log, and scroll far back should I miss anything important. This is also a way that I’m able to use Google Translate if a player asks a question in a different language if their English isn’t as good. I can respond in a way that they can understand and won’t feel left out. The forum and discord is a role that will be interesting but I would definitely be willing to learn and be active as much as I can. I've become familiar with the forum and different discord channels, and have been active over the past year


Participating and engaging within the community –
I’m often asked to try and help other players, be this building them stone gens, or pig farms, or crop hopper farms for players. I do this out of my own balances and resources often asking for nothing in return, because I enjoy seeing new players learn with me at the same time.

People have come to me with questions, and sometimes reports of other players that have done something wrong, and I’ve been able to forward the reports to online staff at the time.

Examples such as back when I built Amberlouise285 a 12 pig spawner cooked pork farm, and where I’ve helped many players such as Addie_Elizabeth, ImNotBrit, Murpicks, Odde, and a lot of other new players too donating my own resources for free for them.

Answering player queries and questions –
As mentioned above, I try my best to answer all questions players may have, and if I’ve not been able to answer some of them, I've been able to find other players who know the answers.

Defuse arguments and tension within public chat or direct them to private messages –
I have done this a few times already, by sending a direct message or talking through /local modes. Advising players that this is a public server and keeping the chat clean from arguments is important to remember and helps maintain a healthy player-based environment


Enforcing all server rules and code of conduct, using special permissions (warn/kick/mute) only when necessary –
I understand that with the Role of Helper, this can include warning players, and if needed, issuing a mute, or following up with a more appropriate member of staff. This will be a decision made with the servers’ best interest, for example, to calm tensions between certain players should this be the case. I would work with my mentor/staff to find the best way forward.


Be a role model in the community and always exhibit good behaviour for others to replicate
I believe I have been a good role model, not perfect, but I try my best to be polite and supportive, I always go out of my way to help new players, and I have made many new friends on the server over these last several months. Many players look forwards to seeing me online, and likewise I look forwards to seeing my new friends too. Hearing from my friends every day is fun and I enjoy meeting new people too that join


Investigating chat-related reports and handling ban appeals –
If players come to me with reports, then I shall follow up on these reports as soon as possible, within reason (time zones, players not online etc, in which case I can use /mail or ask a relevant member of staff)

Directing queries and issues to the correct staff members with the permissions necessary to handle the situation –
I know that some staff like S-Mods have more AntiGriefing tools capable of resolving certain situations, and I can forwards players to message staff on the forum or in discord, and how to open tickets if needed.

Protecting the privacy of staff and players and abide by confidentiality –
This is of vital importance, The Privacy of other Players and Staff is a must and to be treated as such.

Helpers who wish to become full moderators may work with their mentors to learn the usage of anti-grief plugins to assist moderators in resolving various griefing issues, and request bans for situations where they may be appropriate –

This would be a role I’m willing to spend my time on, looking after the server throughout each day and night whilst I’m online, and offline via discord.

Requirements

• What time zone are you in? Uk Time Zone (GMT)

• Can you speak any additional languages?- I know some European languages, and I can use Google translate apps easy enough

• Do you have the necessary means of capturing evidence? - In-Game F2 Screenshots, replaymod, and capture software for recording. I can use Gyazo and Screencast for short clips and screengrabs, and when logged in via chatcaft, I am able to save the entire chatlog for the duration I join for.

• How long can you be active on our platforms everyday? - Usually all day long 10+ hours, I play from midday to very late night, sometimes until the server restarts, sleeping later in the mornings for a few hours. My recent play times have averaged betweem 12 midday, to 2am each day. Though I can always be contacted with my discord any time of day or night.

• When did you first join Skyblock? - Ive played since beginning of july 2022 every day having fun across both survival and economy servers, mainly on economy though.

• Have you ever been banned on any platform? No, being banned isn’t something I’d want to happen, as skyblock is an amazing community of players and friends.

• Do you have any past moderation experience? - Yes, I used to run my own computer game development site, whilst I studied 3D Game design and Media in college. My forum was focused around Unity, Blender and other game softwares, and I really enjoyed running and admin-ing the site with my friends and other members. This was a few years ago, but I am familiar with how the skyblock forum works, as uses the same type of formatting as my old forum.


• Why do you think you should become a staff member?


I would really love to become a helper, as this could help me to be more productive and supportive to other members of the server, I will be able to help out more at times when I wish I could, and relieve some of the strain taken on staff members during the day. Im usually active all day and night long so whilst other staff are offline or unavailable, ill be able to answer any player questions, keep an eye out for illegal sales and filter bypasses, and generally ensure that the economy and skyblock servers are a peaceful fun place to feel welcome and safe.

Often at times there are no staff on economy, as usually staff are seen on survival so when the chat starts to go too off topic and needs some moderation in the form of /local converstations, or private messages, I feel like I could be the right choice for helper. Many of my friends across the last year have shown support and suggest that I would be great at the postion, and my friends would be supportive of this as I often go out of my way helping them and other new players.

This is my second application, last year I was still new to the server, and have learnt a lot since joining.
I am prepared to help as best as I can and look forwards to this opportunity.


Do you meet the requirements for staff?

I do believe so yes, I’ve been very supportive of other players on the server, I’ve made many awesome and wonderful new friends who love to see me online each day, and welcome me with their greetings. I often answer questions for people who aren’t sure about things, and I teach new players how to build their farms. Ive often used my own resources and balances to help others get a good start ingame, as other players did for me when I first joined. Being a Helper/Mod would mean I have better management of when the server goes off topic too much, or when players have some tensions between each other ill be able to use the staff tools available.

Keeping the server a happy place for all players is an important job to take on. I have a lot of time spare being online most of each day, so I think that I would be a great new candidate for the role. Im looking forwards to this new opportunity and hope that ill be able to give back more to a community that has supported and accepted me as their friends.

Hi Skam, thankyou for your neutral stance for now, youre correct in that I regularly play economy, though I do have my briefingapple5 isle on sb which i started playing on and making some new shops for, feel free to have a look around. I joined in july last year and am known by many in the economy server as Apples, and play regularly every day. I hope to see you in game sometime soon

Pringles, I respect your opinions, but that's regarding a resolved issue that's been dealt with and moved on from. I have shown no hostilities towards you and it was a misunderstanding that neither of us acted upon soon enough. Your opinions of me come from that alone. I'd hope you would also be able to move on from that.

My prior history has been of trust respect, generosity. I respect your opinions, but they are wrongly placed for this thread.

 

this is a thread for your application ive just voiced my concern, if it bothers you that i said it maybe you shouldn't be doing it or have done it to players in the past. just because it has been ""resolved"" doesn't mean it didn't happen and it shouldn't be considered when staff look at the application. this is about you being a staff member and prior history should be considered how else can the server have fair, respectable and reliable staff.

 

The requirements is no On-Going punishments or bans, of which i have neither. nor have I ever been banned in game. my Prior history, is of a clean good playsheet. i can only appologise to you so many times, Pringlesman, I can acknowladge that you and i have had a past issue regarding the purchase of a drop head in game. this was resolved by staff, and we have both been told to move on, which i have done so.

this is just your opinion, based upon this one head trade we had that was reversed. with all respect, you joined over chrisatmas, and ive already been a well known member of the community for over half a year before you joined. I appologise you feel like i ripped you off, however claiming that i do this to others simply becuase you feel i did to you is irelavant and an uneeded opionion with no cause.

if you feel you still have issues regarding that xmas head trade, then please do ask a member of staff.

Abbie is one of the best, and kindest economy players I know, they are one of the most active people I know, and love to help others out. We also need some moderators/helpers active on economy as there are rarely any one and there have recently been fights between members. If Abbie passes this application, I believe that they would be a great addition to the staff team, widening timezone range and server range. - ImNotBritish_

this is not adequate behavior for any rational staff member. i made a comment on your application and you do this. i ignore you in game, don't talk abt or to you in global or local and you do this over n over n over.

this is why i do not believe you are a good fit to be a staff member

how about you don't attack someone for speaking as to your past. yes you have no outstanding warnings however that doesn't mean you can then attack people who speak up and say idk. read my message. if you don't continue then sure but based on ur past idk but clearly this doesn't seem like a good fit for you.

 

Clearly Pringlesman you feel I have the need to explain myself, for every comment i make on the server.

Your images are out of order, the second image should have been posted first. This shows you commenting about your advert that you spam in the chat too regurly. you said you have 12 different adverts you repat in 7 mins, that is excessive enough.

I responded about your darth vader advert, becuase being a mapartist myself, and a museum owner and gallery owner on the server, i enjoy the chgance to buy from other artists and to collect a copy of art if it available.

I asked if id be alowed to buy a copy, to be clearly ignored, hence my sarcastic resopnse back, that isnt being offneive. instead, i wish you wouldnt act so hostile towards me, blocking me out of wanting to show you some support. you say you dont talk to me, yet spam the chat constantly asking for people to visit your island all the time. I understand you wish to ban me from your own isle, ive done the same. but id still like to be able to move on from an issue that clearly just yourself has any problem over.

That last image, notbritish didnt understand my message to you, and is irelevant. I wasnt making any issues about the head, I was asking you to be less agressive towards me, like you know, act as if you dont openly hate me to everybody ? I would really like to be able to be friends, or at least not have to keep quite and tip toe around a server in fear of upsetting you over some petty issue months ago that you wont move on from. when you logged in the other day, a few of your friends started saying comments into the global chat which were very offending to me, putting lies into my mouth that i had never said. i had to openly say to the chat that i had no issues with you, and thiese people were spreadiung rumors, i had to deal this in a ticket. so maybe you arent openly saying things to me, but people are still hearing things from you. that needs to stop.

This comment ive already reported as it was clearly meant to antagonise me, well done. You say as long as i dont rip people off anymore but you dont know based on my past history, firstly you cant judge my history, having not even been in it. many members know me well on the servers since last summer. Just becuase you have an opionion of me, doesnt put words in my mouth by forcing a bad reputation on me

We resolved this issue with staff member infront of you too, and we were told to move on. i have done my best to do so, but instead you keep getting yourself involved with me with negatory comments, which have no need or reason other than personal dislike of me.

If you feel i am not suitable to become a helper or part of the team who ive gotten to know a lot of really well over the last 10 months, then you are welcome to your opinion. the issue you wont get over has been resolved, i havent had any other issues before then or after. using that as the reason you see me unfit is irelevant. And respectivly, if i were to become a helper and part of the supporting team, then i would request a different member of the team to support you to avoid any further conflict.


I would really like it if we can start fresh, thats entirely up to you though.

 

Neutral for now, 2 reasons, not that active on Skyblock, and kind of rising to a petty argument here, it’s ok to defend yourself if you feel misrepresented and want to explain, but making comments about the other person “begging all the time” and “spamming ads in chat” is just petty.

 

i have been active on my briefingapple5 island on survival, though i find it diffuclt with grass being the currency. im still learning how the survival server works and have been getting to know many of the sb players alongside eco.

You're correct, i shouldnt have phrased it as begging all the time for players to visit, and have reworded that to asking. However i stand by what i say about spamming ads in the chat, when 12 ads every 7 mins each saying to click here visit me, is excessive. i responded to an ad. thats what has kicked this all off. i have reported the origonal comment made about me as that had no relevance to this helper application and was a personal opinion that they can only say for themselves. One person that has a grudge that they wont drop, I've tried to find a work around which clearly they do not wish for, and they wish to continue hostilities towards me trying to put words into my mouth. they are welcome to give me a negative feedback, and if related to any -Current- Issues, then as i said in the posts above, they should report that to other staff in a ticket.

Abbie, I think you could get this role easily. I know you well enough on the server, and I know for a fact that you're a super supportive player in the community. For that, I think you deserve the role
