Recently i was given a 1 day temp ban for accidentally breaking a stone gen. Afterwards i decided to apply for amnesty in the amnesty section i had seen but never looked at before. However when i checked it out i found it was only really for confessions, not for being given amnesty for past crimes. So here's my suggestion: The amnesty section should be divided into 2 parts. One for confessions( like what we have now) and one for forgiveness for being banned. This section should be there for people to clear their name for minor offenses or for people who were incorrectly banned (is this a correct ban in ban appeals shows that there must be some incorrect bans) It should also be harder to be granted amnesty in the forgiveness section than in the confessions. Thanks for reading
in sorry as in away from a compuer and havee to use my phone, should should be made a part of the forums. Major support from me --conad
Hm, does the concept of forgiveness not inherently lie within Ban Appeals? Once unbanned, you are pardoned, no? Although, if you are looking to merely apologize, people always appreciate a heartfelt letter (or in this case a PM). I am not sure what to think, it is a nice idea; however, in my opinion it seems redundant.
Its to clear your name, so that your past crimes can stop effecting you, ie: if you make a mod app, or another ban appeal
Yes, this was posted when I was a bit new to the forums. I tried to msg Justin so he could move it but I just got an error saying I couldn't send.
No support. All bans are cumulative for the express reason that just because you're unbanned, doesn't mean you're forgiven. Not to mention such a thing would be far too dangerous for players with a proverbial 'silver tongue', and would require a large discussion of the merits of a player we've probably not had extended interaction with. If only trusted, well known players could post in the section, that would be different, but there'd be too many faceless players begging for atonement just so they could go out and do it again without it becoming a harsher punishment.
