    I've not been too offended by it. I assume you mean (much like hiding your activity) you have the ability to not appear on others' profiles? Or do you mean just turning it off on your own profile?

    I support it could be on the privacy page in settings like you can chose whether just people you follow, no one, visitors or everyone.
