As long as I've been here, it has always been "there is no need for a forums mod". However, now there is? I really don't understand how that could just be trampled on the quickly.

 

I guess the forums started to get messy and they needed someone to clean it up and keep it clean.

The forums were getting very a little messy tbh. Off topic on discussion kinda bad.

 

The forums have been severely neglected, and Pile has proven herself Time and time again on the MV forums. She was the Best candidate to try out a Forum only job here.

 

Also as far as I know I am not the first forum mod...

Wanna know what Pile did on her first day as forums mod? Cleaned up like 4 pages of old stuff. No one else would do that unless you are just a fourms mod. Oh yeah and Pile is awesome

I get that you are upset about the post count, but if the threads were in the wrong section they needed to be moved. That's every moderators job, not just mine.

 

You probably find it ridiculous that I'm upset for such a petty reason, but I have a pretty justifiable excuse. This is the second time this has happened. I was also pretty proud to say that I had well over 1000 messages, now I'm over 200 below that mark. To add to me being unhappy about it, this happened all in one day, I would have appreciated some sort of announcement a day in advance. Finally, I'm not really sure where you got that I'm implying that this is just your job, because I'm not.

 

Messages are just messages, geez. And Cypriot thought Pile did an excellent job on MV so he thought maybe she could help on the forums as no-one else seems to clean up.

 

I realize meassages are just messages, but I take some pride out of how many I had compared to others, and that was taken away from me twice, it just pushed me over the edge.

So You just want to Show off how many messages you have?

 

We do understand that you are upset and I do know that you are not capable of logging in on MC and the forum is the only way for you to keep in touch. But still, messages are messages, Pile and others cleaned up the forum and you lost messages, so did many others. I have only one thing and it might be rude in your opinion but #DealWithIt. Moderators did their job.

 

I'm not going to retaliate to this thread, nor do I think that I should. But, this needs to be said.

Pile is amazing, she deserves this rank and was doing her job. When she got this, she was so excited that she can help players and clean up some things for you guys. She is here to help the community, as this was not fair to other players that people that could break the rules for points on the forums. Pile has started to clean up and organize things since the day she was promoted here. I don't think that what she did really affected the points that much, if it did that wasn't her fault. Sorry.

From a fellow Moderator on Mineverse, she knows what she is doing and knows how to do it. I don't see that changing anytime soon. If you have something you need to say to her, feel free to message her. I've seen her deal with situations that needed to be handled with multiple perspectives.

The one thing I want to request from you is, realize that she is an amazing Moderator and please do not disrespect her for helping you guys.

 

There is a difference between showing off and taking pride in something, the former is parading it around almost, while the latter is just more taking mental note of it a making you feel a little good.

You are not seeing this. I'm not saying that she doesn't deserve the rank at all and not disrespecting her. You are talking like she is the new warden of a prison trying to whip it back into shape. The forums were just fine before, and people weren't "breaking the rules for points". I don't know what gave you that idea...

 

The points that you achieved in the threads that were moved were achieved wrongly. Unintentional, but still wrongly. Those threads were in the wrong section. So those points should never have been achieved in the first place. I get that you are upset losing points/posts whatever but I don't see how you can't seem to understand that they never should have been counted.

 

I honestly think there are too many staff on the forums and the forums mod rank is very unneeded. It was always said forum mod was never going to be a thing and then all of a sudden it just happens. I find it unfair honestly because so many people suggested it in the past and so many people wanted it. I'm not saying pile is a bad choice or anyone who gets promoted but I really find the rank unneeded.
