Hi members of the Skyblock Community, It has come to my attention recently, that there have been quite a few mods who have fallen under fire from insults and overall rude comments, dissing their positions as individuals and as mods. If I am to chime in on this, I would say that the majority of these accusations and comments are false and unnecessary. I have had to interact with many mods over the years (due to my bad luck at attracting the wrong crowd), and I must say, asides from the mods who have long since left the server (inactive), this current batch of Moderators is the best that the server has had so far. I have had time to chat to many mods, including but not limited to: MindSensation, Zephxo, Akrill and Krissy. Pre interaction, I expected nothing out of the conversation. Post interaction? I believe they are doing their jobs to the best of their abilities. I'm sure it is often overlooked by many members of this community, however, the job of a mod is not easy. Having to deal with 5-6 people expressing issues at a time, having to make sure that all cases and evidence is accounted for and the most important: remaining civil. I have experienced the job of a mod first hand (semi privately owned external server), and judging by how much I struggled, the performance here is 1000x better. I believe that the stem of the "issue", is that each mod handles situations differently. This is a perfectly natural human behavior, as everyone naturally does things differently. Let's take Zeph for example (sorry for throwing you into spotligtht buddy). After talking to Zeph for a couple hours and seeing him handle his job as a mod, I can say with confidence that he is doing an outstanding job, his personality however can be taken a couple ways. Zeph as an individual is very direct, one that I seem to click with. This can obviously be taken in a negative demeanor, placing him in the... not so good list. This is clearly evident as it seems that the community 'likes' some mods over others. It is clear that this is due to their interactions and personas that they demonstrate. I'd like to take this quick opportunity to thank all the mods, past present and future, for devoting so much of your time and effort to this server; you guys deserve to be paid -=TLR=- Mods are here for a reason, treat them with respect and respect shall be returned. I realise this, however it was only today that I had time to communicate with them. My intentions aren't to bring all of this back up, more or less to simply address the issue from my new gained perspective, as I have seen this first hand
I am glad you are happy with our performance. I believe that we have our flaws. I feel like there have been more together and dedicated team compositions in the past (geez that sounded like overwatch), but i'd say a lot of oldies still are kickin
I actually think I covered some of this in the last discussion I started, but whatever. I guess not everyone read the part where I said we should stop these threads for a while. It just gets old. Though this thread goes into more detail than I had ever included, and I appreciate it. I would disagree, but I don't know how well you knew the old team. The very first few teams were stellar in comparison to this one though, however I don't talk much to some mods, so I guess I can't fully say that with confidence. Just moi.
