I've noticed that Skyblock economy is the only variant of Skyblock without the Sea Lantern block and I was wondering why that was so. It's a great building block and light source for builds going for a more modern look and I need it to finish my spawn.

 

I really want this block implemented into economy… also this is technically not a repost of my old thread requesting for sea lanterns to be added to crates as this thread is requesting for sea lanterns to be added to skyblock economy.

 

• Core Minecraft functionality, the Minecraft client, or client-side mods
• Donor ranks, perks, kits, or cooldowns
  
• In-game rules (e.g., illegal items/trades, etc.)
• The availability or prices of items sold at /warp trade or similar in-game shops
• The contents of the lucky crates or their chances of winning

 

It says "The availability or prices of items sold" and my suggestion never stated about anything being "sold", just being available on the economy server

Yes but, my request only states a block should be added into economy, it doesn't state in what way it should be added

 

I like the idea of prismarine items being added into economy, but it can only be added into the server if there are no big server changes involved (reset being my biggest concern atm)

prismarine is really good for water themed creations and as Nefuria said, Sea lanterns are a very good block for creative players to build with.

 

Well technically sea lanterns are already in the economy server because if you look closely at the big SKYBLOCK sign at skyblock economy's spawn you'll see the line of sea lanterns behind all the purple wool and terracotta. (this was pointed out to me by slybudda so props to him for that)

 

I know that, but it was built by builders/admins and not a player thus aren't truely in economy, if you thought I meant they aren't obtainable to exist on economy - you're wrong, I know they're obtainable on economy.

 

Yes but what i'm trying to say is that the block is obtainable from versions 1.8 all the way to the newest versions of the game and there's no reason not to implement it into skyblock economy as it is already in both the other variants of skyblock (classic and grass), adding a new variety of blocks widens the variations of builds that players are able to create. Plus anything in economy is part of the economy server whether if it was implemented by an admin or not. That would be like saying if a player placed down a block in the skyblock economy spawn then started his own server then the block would belong to him and his server. (obviously this statement is over exaggerated but i'm sure you get what I mean)

 

I’ve thought about this topic for a little while, and can’t understand why /economy doesn’t have prismarine items, or guardian spawners.

It’s a very popular block on /skyblock and a very expensive spawner to try and obtain.

Support, if there’s a way it can be added without disrupting current gameplay, I’d love to see this implemented.

 

i would love them to add sea lantern on economy, because using redstone lamp and glowstone is really boring.

Full support, unless it needs a reset to be implemented. Sea lanterns would be an amazing thing to have on economy, its a really 'clean' source of light (unlike glowstone) since its such a plain block. This makes it an ideal block for modern builds

 

Full support. I see no reason why this cannot be implemented. You don't have to reset the server, change the crates, or even add spawners. Just add another entry to the /shop. Of course, the implementation of spawners would be nice. However, having no sea lanterns in a pretty major issue in terms of building creativity and has a pretty simple solution.

 

Full support. It would provide the economy server with a brand new block to their building palettes, and as such, will further expand the creative capabilities of each and every member of the server.

We are currently limited to torches, glowstone, and redstone lamps. And the issue with that is that they do not fit some themes that people may want to build in the server.

Understandably, it may create a couple of issues during implementation. However, I believe that it will benefit the server in the long run. We're already recommended to play in Minecraft 1.12.2, and the sea lanterns were added in snapshot 14w25a for Minecraft 1.8. So there wouldn't be any issues with the Minecraft version. And I am not really inclined to believe that the server needs to be completely flushed and reset in order to add the new feature.

Sea lanterns should be added to economy because they are very modern and I really would want them on my island as it would look good with quartz. Please add them on eco!

 

Could we get a staff member's input on this? Many players feel lost as to why this has not been implemented already.

 

It's better to ask the owner himself if he ever replies to this thread.

Support. It can either be added to the shop or maybe add a guardian spawner as one of the economy legendary crate rewards if it isnt there already.

 

I’m not really an economy player but I do play on survival and love using sea lanterns on my islands. Therefore, I could see why economy would want them and I kinda don’t get why you don’t already have them so, support from me

 

I agree. They are a great lighting block.
