Add more emojis

Sure, why not. It wouldn't hurt.

 

Adding new emojis shouldn’t be a priority right now but I guess they would add some new style to the messages so why not.

 

Yeah, plus the emojis we mostly use on a daily basis are not there in the emoji options menu.

To add on to it, there's not much use for like majority of the emojis on the list. We can remove most of them

For people who have apple devices its fine, but what about people dont have one? There's a ton of people who dont use an apple device.

I've removed a--hat, old man, and finger based on feedback and appropriateness, and also removed all the duplicates I could find.

Just to clarify a bit, our current set of emojis is limited to Smilies and Emoji Smilies. In each case, they're just smileys rather than generic emojis (no flags, animals, fruit, etc.)

We can add more smileys, or even entire categories of emojis, but each one has to be added individually, and this includes setting the graphic as well as the text shortcut (e.g., :eyeroll: ) for each one. For this reason, I think it would be best if there were specific suggestions for these so everyone knows exactly what's being suggested.

Also keep in mind that there may be licensing restrictions involved with using other people's artwork, so public domain artwork would probably be best.

Do you all think you can provide and vote for specific emojis to add, what they should look like, and what their text shortcuts should be? It might be better to make each one a separate suggestion so people know what they are voting for.

 

Soo the ones now, most people want are:

1. Heart (All colors if possible?) ::
2. Thumbs up
3. Thinking : thinking: (the is meant to be together but I moved it so the troll face doesn't show)
4. Eggplant? :eggplant:
5. Flags of different nations (U.K., AUS, U.S.A., etc)

That's all the responses I got so far.
