I think dmods should be under the staff team tab. I know this has been suggested before but it’s been over two years, so I figured it would be worth resuggesting, especially with them getting the staff trophy reward now as well. They could go under helpers, and be distinctively labeled as discord moderators so no possible confusion can happen (as this was the reason for the past suggestion not being implemented)

Discord moderators haven't been added to the forums staff team section because they have no moderation powers on the forums and in-game so they wouldn't be able to help when someone contacts them here. For the same reason you won't find the forums administrator role for example in the discord server staff channel, the role exists though.

The same thing applies to Builders, since they have no moderation powers listing them as a staff member could potentially confuse players that might contact them asking for help which they can't provide.

The staff list is currently a bit inconsistent on all platforms since there are no global guidelines. The only reason I see that could justify listing every role on every platform is to credit them.

 

I slightly disagree. I feel like having Discord Moderators on the staff team page on Skyblock is a bit crucial. Especially because Discord Moderators are expected to handle Discord Appeals, and have in the past. When banned on the Discord server, you necessarily do not have access to the staff channel which is the only place where Discord Moderators are listed as staff. If I was a new user to the forum, my first instinct would be to look at the Staff Team page which is on my navigation bar (i.e. if I was banned on the Discord).

However, if I don't see any Discord Moderators there, I'd be bugging each individual moderator, waiting for a reply. Though that does work, it's a bit annoying when you have to be referred to someone else, and so and so. If I see a Discord Moderator there, I'd be able to contact someone who might be my banning moderator and talk to them and such. This is kind of why we have Discord Mods on the Mineverse Forums' staff page - though I'm not implying for you to do what Mineverse does, I thought I'd explain why we have that. It's more for player convenience and to recognize Discord Moderators as staff which is essence, they are.
i also think forums admin should be in #staff on the discord but that's a diff discussion :p

That's just my thoughts but at the end of the day, it's your decision and I respect that!

Might as well add them as they do respond to ban appeals in the forums and thus making it easier for users to ping the mods to possible make then respond in a timelyerr manner (prop won't help make them quicker). But since there are helper in the tab why not add them discord mods they have as little power as the helper might as well give em some coolness by adding the name on the site.

For future deletions of post please add on an explanation of deletions as that would very much bring a positive impact on the skyblock community by informing players on how to no get their post deleted and on how to change there post for the future)

 

I’m pretty sure that when Athyrix was forums admin he had that role listed under the staff discord channel, similar to how the social media admin or discord administrator is displayed currently.

Boba explained this point really well, but I think that credit is still deserved with how much effort these moderators put in, and if they’re put on the bottom of the list, everyone would have to scroll past every single mod and helper to contact the discord moderators - plus if it’s specified and clearly a different section I don’t think it would be that bad

 

From what I see, the mineverse forums has both discord mods and Builders in the staff team tab.

So why not also the same thing for skyblock?

 

What I said was more of an explanation on why those ranks are not listed at the moment, not my opinion. It is a good point but as far as I can tell there are pretty much no discord appeals that have been handled by a discord moderator on the forums. Since the discord and forums name can differ it might be hard to identify the correct staff member (I think it doesn't even tell you who punished you).

While I'm not really against this suggestion I'm afraid that it will result in follow-up suggestions about adding all roles to the staff list on the discord server and in-game.

 

I’m pretty sure all staff roles are already listed in the discord staff channel, builders are even listed there. Since they’re already listed on there, there would be no buildup of extra roles on the discord, and as for ingame roles I think that there aren’t any roles that would necessarily need added (like discord moderator) ingame.

When I was banned from the discord a while back the bot didn’t tell me but I’m pretty sure the bot has since then been updated, but I feel like this is actually more of an argument on why it should be added instead of not. Since the names aren’t always the same, you might not be able to search specifically for a discord moderator, and there is no spot listed on forums for them, and if a player was banned on the discord (the only place they’re listed), they cannot check to see who is moderators at this point without breaking more rules and making the appeal process longer
