Drogo suggests adding a timer to the /trust command that automatically untrusts after half an hour or when the trusting player logs out. This would prevent potential greifing upon players who forget to untrust anyone who helps them briefly as they might comeback later to check if they are still trusted. Of course we still want to be able to give permanent trust to friends so a new /trustalways command could do that.
Huh, I'm not sure why this didn't get any replies. This is a great idea. I'm always panic-checking /trust list whenever I misplace something or if GaroldGarcia moves something important without telling me XD
rather than coding a new command, add the option for a time argument to the pre-existing command.. /trust BobaLatte 30m and advertise this feature in chat and hook up the skybot thing in-game to mention this whenever somebody asks about temporary trust
I support it, I'm always trusting people then forgetting I've done that till something goes missing like 2 weeks later
Realistically, that still requires recoding just the same. If the time was just an optional parameter then the people that would exploit it would tell these new, uninformed players to use that command without the time. I could visit new players as they come in game, gift them heaps of cobble and offer to build a platform under their island so the can mine the dirt. They trust me and might leave me trusted. If they have to type “/trust always”, then they know what they are doing.
Dex has advised that they want to implement this is some way but will likely happen after the update.
yall can test this with /trust pringlesman35 indefinite but this is a great idea if we can set times and or 2 commands 1 hour and a infinite for alt/homies
