Hey everyone! For those of you who’ve seen the Minecraft movie, what did you think? Would love to hear your thoughts! I've watched it and was pleasantly surprised.
I made one of these already but it was above my expectations regardless. They didn't take it seriously at all tho which was interesting, probably a lot of routes they could've went for this so we will see what the other ones are like
I torrented it and I'm glad I did rather than go to the cinema, those "trends" go out of control lol. For what it's meant to be. It's a good movie. It teaches new minecraft players about the basic lores of Minecraft with an uplifting musical vibe. The piglins are funny, if a bit too obsessive lmao Adding a spoiler warning here, I remade the lavachicken farm shop, and the noteblock song to go with it on my eco island. Craftwithabbie Free lalalavacooked chicken for everyone
I loved how the film's whole message is that you can "build whatever you can dream" and that anything is possible, yet the company behind the movie for the past 5 years has been ensuring that I can't claim ownership of Skyblock - love the irony but that's just my perspective That said, I enjoyed the movie and felt it was very well-made, it was nice to see Minecraft in the real world with a cast like Jack Black and Jason Momoa, I definitely related to The Garbage Man as a future burn out Knowing Microsoft, we will definitely see a sequel and now that they understand that their main audience was current and ex-Minecrafters, it would be cool to see one with more easter eggs and references to all of the UGC and third-party content that helped keep Minecraft alive, instead of the base singleplayer mode of Minecraft A sequel where the world implodes and turns into Skyblock and the cast (current or new cast) has to start from nothing, build their island, and save the world or whatever would be very interesting
