I have met 2 players now that have been unable to make a tradeshop at all. I forgot the first person's name. Second person is _LaxrYT_. Problem: no matter how many time we practice together, the player cannot make a tradeshop. I do not know if this is a glitch with the plugin. Both players have sworn that they are typing out the signs correctly. The server kept asking _LaxrYT_ to specify the item amount each time the sign popped off the wall. I cannot know exactly what _LaxrYT_ was typing since I cannot look over his shoulder, but if other players have a similar problem then this become something very different.
So _LaxryYT_'s problem was solved with a weird work around involving either an extra space or the hit of the enter key... not quite sure what the problem and the real solution was. No one gave me a straight answers -.-" I still want to know how the fix worked. Found the first person who I met with a problem creating tradeshops. Username KrAzy01. Recently talked to that player. I found the first player I met to have trouble creating tradeshops. KrAzy01 could not make a tradeshop at all. I talked to that player recently. KrAzy01 gave up on tradeshops all together I'm sure there must be some more players who face the same troubles.
If either of them have a mac they have to use the enter key instead of the arrow keys when they are going down lines or the shop won't work. If not that, then I'm not really sure what the problem is.
Oh hey, that is what _LaxrYT_ was told to do by one of the mods. I didn't understand why though. Thanks for clearing that up!
I haven't seen any recent complaints, it might have been they were using a Mac and needed to click enter instead of the arrow keys?
Something like that happened to me, and I realized that I have to first put the trading sign, then after put the lockette sign.
Your tradeshop is already private to you. No one else can open it. You do not need the lockette sign at all, unless you are only uinsg 1/2 a double chest as a tradeshop. This is not the same issue the 2 players i mentioned were having.
Oh I know, just when u put the lockette sign first the trade sign would not have [trade] in color green. But just trying to figure out the problem. I guess my reason is not the reason.
I met another player today with the same issue as the start of this thread. Iceninjaz could not make a tradeshop sign. But upon asking, the player told me he/she plays on a mac. So I was able to share this advice about using the enter key instead of arrow keys to move down to the next line of the sign, and it worked! I'm very glad this seems to be the proper solution. There should be a place for any mac user to have access to this information though.
