Yesterday, I had just come home from horse camp...
The whole time I was worried a ton about my birds... If my little sister fed them, if the cage was clean and lots more things.
Everything was fine on that day...
    Until today.

As we have pretty much finished renovating, we had to move back to the house. (We were temporarily living there.) Mum decided to bring the birds back with us too, instead of keeping them there for another few hours. As the house smelt really bad, I was concerned weather the smell would do anything to the birds. It was a strong smell and wasn't pleasant at all... We decided to leave the birds near the door, outside.

A few hours later I was on my dad's laptop with my sister. We heard a huge bang outside...
My mum rushed outside and told us the cage had fallen and split, therefore the birds could escape. Tears just started forming in my eyes... I felt guilt and betrayal...
    Here's why...

The birds that we had, (Zo and Jo) were the babies of my friends birds. They grew up being hand raised therefore we were able to hand feed them and hold them... I felt like I could handle this and take care of them... I guess not.
    Continuing...

The birds flew out in shock... Unable to catch them. I honestly felt like some giant bird would swoop me away and kill me. I felt so so bad...
My little sister is hoping that the birds will come back to us, I'm just hoping for the best. (My little sister even put food and water outside for them... >.<)
I honestly think we won't be getting any other pets anytime soon... Goodbye to my doggie wish!
I can hear birds chirping and I'm basically crying right now... I don't even know what to do.

I can't eat right now, I can barely even talk...
I feel like I have betrayed them and my friend. I really didn't know this would happen...
    I didn't expect it...

    Thats so horrible >.<

    I'm so sorry Sophia~
Just try leaving out something that Zo and Jo loved to eat. And make sure it has a strong scent. Hopefully the will be attracted to it and come back.

I really hope you find them soon..

I'm scared they'll be far gone by now... But I hope they'll survive a little longer...

    Nuuuu Poor Sophia D:

I feel so bad for you I wish I could do something (not eat them) but you've done all you can do.
Like fintan said "Hopefully they will be attracted to it and come back" Jaybe just maybe the will smell food and come over but the are probably far gone... :(

    < - UPDATE - > <- Sunday ->
The previous owner had to stay over night, just in-case they would come back in the morning. We all woke up at 6:30 in the morning... Looked outside...
    The cage was empty.
It's now 8:27 Pm and they are still not back...
Zo may be able to survive, as she looks like a sparrow and they may possibly accept her. While Jo on the other hand is a bright yellow and white... Sadly there would be a small possibility they'd accept him. Sparrows do kill canaries and I'm worried sick. We are still unable to find them, not know where they are.
It'd be easy to spot Jo more than Zo because of his bright yellow... But we'll never know.
Our family will also be leaving to Aussi soon, therefore if they don't return they may be gone for good.
    Ily Zo and Jo :heart:3
