Some people are having issues on Skyblock.net after it was updated to 1.8. Here is a list of common problems and solutions/info about it:​

1. Can't access things on their island (not the whole island, but parts of it)

This is because you built your island outside of the 49 blocks from bedrock limit. If you go to your bedrock and count 49 in any direction (straight line) that is your island limit. If you built outside of that, then you were illegally building on someone else's island (this was/and still is listed in the rules located here [rule 1 last paragraph]). This largely went unnoticed due to the amount of abandoned islands, but if you ever lost a random chunk of your island before with no logs, it was because someone did /new island and erased the things you were building within their island space.

2. Skyblock.net is very laggy now but wasn't before

This can be a multitude of reasons. Maybe you are just now paying attention to the latency, maybe you were on when tons of people were on. Maybe your computer isn't powerful enough to run 1.8 like it could 1.7. Something I can recommend is try using Optifine. Optifine is a modified minecraft client that was built for the purpose of running way faster and give you significantly better graphics controls (to make it run even faster!). Their website is here

3. You can't do the things you used to be able to do at public warps

So for the time being many things currently are not working at public warps (e.g. Spawn, Skybase, etcetera). You will just have to wait for these bugs to be fixed. For the time being, try asking for help to see if someone can fulfill your need. Otherwise you will have to wait for the bug to be fixed. If you end up trading without a chest (which will be most of you) BE CAREFUL about ClearLag. Finally, there is a specific issue tracker here for the public warp problems

4. Can't type the same twice in a row (or any number of times in a row for that matter)?
This is a bug and was reported. You can see the status here

5. People that are a part of my coop can access my privated chests!!!
This is because every single lockett was converted to a regular sign. Please go here for more info

6. Pet Permission Problems (Why can't I ride my pet?)
There is currently a permission problem with people not being able to ride their pet. This was reported and you can see the status here

7. I can't access the middle villager at /warp donor!
Not sure if this is by design or a bug. Either way it was reported here

8. I thought you said my island was protected; people can steal from my item frames!
So I thought that the island was protected the same way that skyblock.org was. I was wrong... item frames can still be broken and the items inside can be stolen. Not sure if this is a bug or not so I reported it here

9. I can't modify anything at my 49 from bedrock location
According to the rules that has been given out from the beginning of time (okay maybe not that long ago) your island limits are 49 from the bedrock in each direction (99x99). However at the 49th block from bedrock (the outer layer) you cannot modify anything. This is a bug until the rules are updated to state your island limits are now 97x97. You can keep track of it here

10. I can't type /rewards anymore. It says it does not exist.
So even though the broadcast still tells people to type /rewards, the command no longer works. It was reported here

 

Well, I saw you in-game and you said the same thing, just happened to get on the fourms now. I'm glad to know that this is only temporary and would like to get my island back in shape ASAP. How long do you think till the permissions will be re-granted to you guys?

Mods will be given build permissions across the entire server by tomorrow, it's been added into the skyblock system and just needs to be loaded onto the server.

ok i have some questions can u add people that are not in ur coop to ur island to build and stuff but not live there?(this could get annoying for me)
