i was on the server and then it restarted, when i joined back 1/2 of the mob arena was gone along with 2 spawners.

You probably built this too far off of the bedrock. If you build more than 50 blocks off of the bedrock, and a new island gets created, and deleted. the part outside of your region will get deleted.
This only happens when you build too far out from your bedrock. You have 49blocks of space in each direction (not counting the bedrock). When someone creates a newisland, all your work will be deleted that crosses the boundary.
