Abbreviations & their Definition

EDIT: As some of you may know, a forum thread is limited to 15,000 characters, and this thread is near that limit. Due to the lack of space I will now split as many of the terms as possible into different sub-categories, found in either Google Documents or in different threads, all links will be found here.

A
Alt - Short for alternative account, means a certain player's additional Minecraft accounts, which is often used less than the player's main account. Can be used for a variety of different purposes, but most often as a backup account or just an eventual choice for the player.

B
Ban - If you break one of the server rules where the punishment is a ban, a moderator will ban you from the server. This will mean that you will not be able to log in on the server with the banned account until the ban expires, or until the moderator unbans you. A ban can theoretically last from 1 second to permanent.

Ban appeal - If you have been banned you will either have to wait for the ban to expire, or write a ban appeal. The ban appeal section can be found under "Support" on the skyblock forums. The banning moderator will read your appeal and decide whether you deserve to remain banned or not.

C
Clearlag - To reduce the lag, once every 5 minutes the clearlag plugin will remove all the found entities in the skyblock-world. This includes dropped items, paintings, armor stands and minecarts.

Coop - A created group of people, who have all accepted to join the coop owners invite, usually used to share island with several people, or inviting several people for a cooperation, (thus the term coop).

D
DC - Short for Double chest, the term is used when trading. Example: Selling DC of Stone. Means that the person is selling a double chest full of the certain item; (54x64 of a certain item) or (3456 items in total)

Diamond - Most common item to be included in more expensive trades, worth approximately 22 grass blocks.

Dirt - Illegal-to-trade item, used for farms and sometimes terraforming.

DP - Short for Drop Party, means that one or a few players are giving away free items, usually for attention. The average drop party will occur after the hosting player(s) has gotten enough people come to their island or a public warp, this by advertising their drop party in the chat, and then dropping items into the mass of people.

Donor - Short for Donator. Means a player that has donated money to the server. When you donate to skyblock you will receive a donator rank and eventual perks and kits that come with the certain rank There are different ranks depending on how much money you donated

Farm - Refers to the systematic production of renewable resources. It is usually used to get food, mob drops, experience, and other unlisted items.
Some of the different farms are the classic farms that uses seeds, such as wheat, carrot, potato, melon and pumpkin farms. Players have over time also developed other more efficient and automatic ways to farm mobs using mob spawners, most often to get mob drops, food, but also other resources.

God Item - Item enchanted with every available enchantment in the game. Obtainable by using /enchant all (Donor100+ perk) while holding the item(s).

Grass Block - Maybe the most common item to be included in a trade; often used as the main server currency.

Greenie - Skyblock term, used as a nickname for players without ranks. Players without donator ranks will automatically receive a lime-green prefix in chat, thus the term.

Grinder - An automatic machine that uses mob spawners to make mobspawner-farming nearly fully-automatic, despite the fact that there are many different designs of grinders, most of the grinder models are used for the same purpose; to collect mobs at the same spot, or kill the mobs by using different methods (lava, falldmg, wolfs).

H
Head - Rare item, usually traded for several hundreds of diamonds, but can be worth up to 1,000 or more, depending on the head. Can also be split into three categories: Player Heads, Mob Heads, and Seasonal Heads.

I
Iron - Common currency to use in trades, as there are no currencies worth less than a grass. The huge amount of donators getting daily iron from their kit have lowered the worth of iron, from what before was 1 grass = 2 iron ingot, to about 1 grass = 5 iron ingot.

Kit - Command, usage /kit <kit name>. Gives the player free items, the items can be worth from under one grass up to several diamonds, depending on what the kit is. The only free kit is sapling which gives the player two oak saplings, and every donator rank (excluding Donor400) gets their own kit, Donor400 gets every. Other kits can be bought in the official shop.

Lockette - Plugin that makes it possible for players to lock chests and other blocks, this makes it impossible for any other player (exception is moderators) to open or break the certain item. Several players can be added to the lockette by editing the lock sign, using /lockette # <name>.

Logblock - A plugin that moderators can use to track or view blocks that have been broken or placed in a certain area or chest, this is very effective against griefers, and the plugin makes griefing and stealing very hard to get away with.

M
Mod - Short for Moderator, a staff member on the server. A moderator has the ability to mute, kick, or ban a player if they break any of the server rules.

> Trial Mod The very first and lowest moderator position, does get the ability to mute, ban, kick, but yet hasn't gained full trust to use the commands exclusive to higher mod positions.

> Full Mod A trial mod can be promoted to a full mod, this means that they will receive a few more commands than the trial mod, to break lockette signs for example. The owner(s) will personally promote a trial moderator if they come to the decision that the trial mod deserve a promotion.

> Super Mod A full mod can be further promoted to a super moderator, which gives them access to all the moderator commands and abilities. Full mods aren't being promoted as often as trial mods, which leaves the community with only a couple super moderators.

Rares - Skyblock term used when talking about more expensive tradable items such as beacons, heads etc.

Skin Comp - A player-hosted mini game/competition where the host will advertise their skin comp, and when enough people has come to the place where the skin comp will occur, the host will judge the contestants by their skin, and present a winner. The winner usually gets a prize, and to make profit the host will sometimes take fee of the contestants.

Spawner - A mob spawner is an item that can be set to a few different mob types, which will spawn the mob unlimited times.

SC - Short for Single Chest. Similar to Double Chest, but in this case referring to only one chest full of the specific item. Example: Selling SC of Wool. (27x64 of the certain item) or (1728 items in total)

Terraforming - Placing blocks, usually dirt or grass, to make it look "natural". This is a building technique, where the usual goal is to manage to place grass in a way so it will look like its naturally generated.

Tradeshop - A server plugin that allows players to make safe shops that can be used by anyone, and at any time, where the owner of the shop can trade one or several items for other items, usually for grass, as it is the main server currency.

Vote - To support the server players have the ability to vote for skyblock.net/org on different server-list sites, after voting the player will receive a vote key and a grass block, and the top voters of every month will also receive a $25 coupon to use in the shop.

Vote Party - When 300 players have voted for the server a vote party will begin, this will give each player online a randomized amount of grass/vote keys. The amount of votes left until a voteparty can be seen by doing /vp. After the vote party is over, the countdown will reset to 300 votes again.

Warp - Official selected area, accessible for everyone, a warp will usually fill some function, example: shops (warp donor, warp tradeshop), meetup areas (noobspawn, spawn)

You know that within a dictionary , the alphabetical order has to be observed within a letter chapter as well? Cyp for instance should be at the end of letter C.

Ppap I would say is not a skyblock-term, even if it may be used in the community I don't see the need to add it. Dev on the other hand will work, and I'll make sure to add it as soon as possible.
