Its not random, they have a purpose. And the sentence would be " I think berries are an Ugly creature, like abolduc02. No-one likes that person."

Question: Why would ugly be capitalized?

Its a visual expression of emphasis. Not heavy emphasis, as that would require Caps.

But, if you take Your sentence and speak as of the Caps words were emphasized, it would sound A bit odd.
