It's kind of hard to put into words what I don't understand. I think I just can't understand WHY things happen. For example, I previously learned about cell transport. Yeah, I remembered all the terms and stuff. (1/2)
But it was really hard for me to get why all this stuff happens. Why are some molecules impermeable and can't pass through the phospholipid bilayer? Why do they go through the proteins instead? See what I mean?
Damn straight I am.
Also yeah, I suppose some things might need context from chemistry or other bio topics when you start thinking about it like that. If you were looking for an answer, particles like CO2 and water can pass through the membrane because they're physically smaller. It's like a sieve: big particles like proteins can't fit through, and so they need the protein channels.
