You got to love the socratic dialogues, when the simple action to ask a question leads to its answer.

Good old Socrates. Most of the sciences can be boiled down to someone trying to find the answer to a question. Literature, too. Probably a lot of things. It's in our nature to question (which is probably why the socratic method is so effective in helping someone understand a concept).
