Wait. Whot. I didn't know there were states in Australia. I thought it was just one big hunk and there were cities o-o;

But if you don't live in Melboure, Sydney, or Brisbane, where do you live? Is it really far?

Yes, Australia has 6 states. There's Queensland (City: Brisbane), New South Wales (Sydney), Victoria (Melbourne), Northern Territory (Darwin), Western Australia (Perth), South Australia (Adelaide), and Tasmania (Hobart).
I live in South Australia ^-^ 2nd largest state, but the population is low. It covers most of the desert in the middle of Australia.

Oh but I used to live in Victoria/Melbourne :3 We moved 5 years ago.

Well Australias a big place, it depends on the state o3o from Adelaide to Melbourne is 9 hours.
Also I forgot about our capital, the ACT (Australian capital territory) but it's tiny so it hardly counts.

Oh, okay. So basically around the size of three~four Canadian provinces.

Hehe, not quite I've caluculated that the rough average size of an Australian State is 961,503km sq, and for Canada it's 832,055km sq c;
Not including islands, ofc o3o

By example was probably a bad one, I was basically describing a drive kinda like one from Regina to Winnipeg or something xD It goes across states/provinces, but they're pretty close all the same.
