Depends on what you are trying to do. Basically just click the "forums" button and it wolill lead you to many sections of topics, that consists of many threads.
Trading is just a thread for in-game players who want to buy/sell items.
Say if you wanted to buy white wool on .Net, and you are looking for offers you might not get in-game. You would go to "discussion" "trading" then "Trading .Net" and you could either look for players selling the wool, or make your thread about buying the wool
