    Don't take a class just because your friends are taking it. Although the work load will be a lot heavier, don't screw up your freshman year. Good luck.

    It's actually not bad at all. Freshmen year was probably my favorite year so far. Don't get too worked up over it, but don't bum it out the whole year either. Especially if you're taking any AP classes. The work load probably won't get easier, but you'll definitely adjust quickly.

    Sophomore year has to be the best and the easiest for me. Since I have adapted to my studying and sleeping schedule, sophomore year passed like a breeze.

    I would have to disagree with that ^ Yes, the workload does increase but the concepts get harder as well. If the concepts were to not increase in terms of difficulty, then everyone would be passing their quizzes and tests in AP and IB.

    Teachers expect more from you too. They won't accept late assignments, you either did it or you didn't. You have community service, SATs, and ACTs to worry about. You also have to start working on your extra curricular activities record.
