Ah yeah I'm doing DofE
It sucks cause I was carrying the heaviest bag in the entire year. On the way there I was carrying a massive cool bag with ice in. On the way back I had to carry a tent. Not fun.
It annoyed me that the person with the lightest bag in my group was complaining the whole way.

Ah right. Other schools in my area actually did it in year 9 but we did it during the first term of year 10.
